That's going to be the toughest team BU faces and they'd better win the championship now. In my ~15 years of watching Cornell, I've never seen a more inspired team. Proud of what they did the past month
Well played game. The announcers spoke of a lot of injuries to Cornell this year which must be true because they sure as hell didn't look like a team that barely made the tournament. Really like how BU actually got the puck out their own zone and cut way down on idiotic turnovers.
And you get first crack at flights and hotels.
I noticed that the OT goal was scored right at 7:00. When they play best!
Still amazed. I’m looking at the thread title, and remembering not too long ago when we thought how stupid it was. And now…just, wow. So so giddy!!
)Got the first advance out Midwest Regional checked off the list. I think BU has advanced out of them all now, sort of. I don’t think we have advanced out of the East regional per se. When there were only 2 regionals, we made it out of the East, but never from the 4 regional format. We have only advanced out of the designated Northeast.
This is a heck of a start from Jay Pandolfo’s teams. BU is now extremely relevant in the national picture at a sustained level making it to 3 Frozen Fours in a row. I think this team willed itself to this one. It’s time to take the next step and reach the final (and hopefully win it). Recruiting is certainly at a great level, and I think we have found that good mix of older players and elite freshman/sophomores.
Semi against UConn or Penn State - any preference? I’m not a huge fan of playing fellow conference teams in the Frozen Fours, but a little chance at redemption might be what this team needs. I don’t think we have ever played Penn State in any game, so that would be interesting to watch.
