BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

So, here's what's left (off the top of my head without checking the schedule)"

2/21 home vs Northeastern
2/22 at Northeastern
2/25 at UConn
3/6 home vs UVM
3/8 at UVM

Ideally BU needs to win all to stay in the top3. The Tuesday game at UConn worries me. Where or where is Todd with his detailed report on what it will take and where BU can and will hopefully end up??

On a separate note - who would have had Brady Tkachuk as a leader on Team USA? I was surprised when he left early but he's really developed into a great player. I saw on the news that teams will be practicing at Agganis this morning. Hoping they get a picture of all the BU folks, including coaches. Maybe with the Beanpot if it's still in the building. :) How many of the Team USA folks, including coaches and admin have won a Beanpot? I know Mike Sullivan, Chris Drury and John Hynes did. As did Jak Eichel. Did the others? Drawing a blank.

Add David Quinn to the list. Won twice as a player, then as Assoc. coach and head coach.
The home game on 3/6 is against PC, not UVM.

Has there been any further info on the possibility of Ivar Steinberg joining the Terriers in the fall? There was talk during the World Jrs in December. And there was buzz about Michael Misa around that same time as well.

Officially confirmed. Will Smith showing up to a Sharks game in a BU Celebrini jersey coming soon.

If they plan on waiting for a home game, Sharks won't be back home until March 8th. However, another good option would be Feb 27th @ MTL, so Lane Hutson can appreciate the results as well. Smith might just want to get it over with though :p

Nice tidbit in the notes section of the Boston Globe today.

Sullivan brought former longtime Boston University coach Jack Parker to practice and his media session. "He means an awful lot to me." Said Sullivan, as Parker beamed. "A lot of the philosophies that I've applied to my job today, I owe to this guy over here, so thanks, Coach."

Awwww. Good stuff, that.

Team is gosh awful. No heart, no character, undisciplined, no leadership and lazy. It’s also on Pandolfo for not getting thru to them . If this team didn’t have that 2 goal burst in the Beanpot final the season would be a total waste of time. I saw a national college guy say they were the most overrated team in the country. Not on him but the Yegerov era which everyone seems to be excited about after tonight is posting a 4-4 record.

Odds on us making the tournament at this point?
I think it’s near 100%. I think the worst we play is .500 coming in. The thing is what happens when we get there. The only thing I’m hanging on for hope is the team is 4-0 in the in-season tournaments. Maybe this is a team that only has 20 or so wins, but goes deep? In my freshman year in 89-90 we had a 19-12-2 regular season team go to the Frozen Four. Now the format was different in that the early rounds were not single elimination (best of 3 first round at campus sites where we lost both first games, but won the next 2). Don’t really know how the whole team takes Friday nights off most of the time. It will be an interesting post season. You would think this type of team to this point would be ripe for the picking, but you never know until the games are played. There is lots of talent there, and when they focus and are motivated, the team looks pretty good. But losing to Northeastern 5-1 at home this year? Makes you think bad thoughts…
