BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

Impressive recovery after thoroughly being handled for most of the first period. 4-0 now in the tournament games, including this one against the unanimous #1 team in the nation. That was such an important game in more ways than one - win the very important Beanpot, confidence to beat a team and goaltender of that caliber, playing and winning on the big stage, and to top it off BU moves from 10 to 6 in the PWR. So proud of the team’s efforts tonight. Now finish the season strong and win some more trophies!
Terriers were 8 in PWR yesterday. 6 today.

With that said, I don't think Caron wins this game...

Ya think!?. Without Big Mike they lose that game 5-2. Kids a game changer.

Wow, am I happy to be wrong. What a night at the Garden it was. From getting run out of the building in the first (Shots were 15-2) to two goals 70 seconds apart (Shades of the 2009 Hockey East Semi's vs. BC) to a team blocking shots and playing solid defense. - I mean.... Wow.

84 shots on goal between the two teams. What a game.

Macklin and Lane waving the BU flag in the student section was the cherry on the sundae. It was a FANTASTIC night be a Terrier!!!

BU Hockey: 32!

I've got no illusions they're gonna charge into the national championship or anything, but if they can lock in like the second and third periods, they can take on anyone.

The talent is there, is the consistency?

It'd be nice to see them charge up again though. I mean, it's been what 16 years since they burned the boats on the way to the last one. Heck, the players they're scouting now for recruits could have been conceived in the after parties.

Frozen Four is good, but let's win one.

nice to see eisermann get involved. He’d been ghosting the past couple weeks after such a fast start. Kaplan has also not been a hindrance out there doing dumbass things as he was earlier in the season.
and Big Mike, huh?😎

Coffee - all over my keyboard. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

No time to sit on laurels. Home and home with Providence this weekend. Here's hoping they can carry the emotion and great play from last night's second and third periods through these two games. The Friars are right behind BU in the pairwise.

The 2nd and 3rd period defense was impressive - selling out to block shots and deflecting passes to non-harmful areas. I knew they could do it!

Almost déjà vu?
1997 Beanpot: BU 7 Harvard 1, BU 4 BC 2
2025 Beanpot: BU 7 Harvard 1, BU 4 BC 1

Yegorov joins Kieran Millan (2009) and Rick DiPietro (2000) as freshman goalies who backstopped BU to the Beanpot Championship. defkit's Terrier Takeaway and more on the blog.

Big three games with Providence will say a lot.
