BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

BU assessed penalty for Yegorov coming out too early, then immediately gives up power play goal on first shot.

Interesting Q. Hutson was chosen to serve the penalty. Imagine he put the rookie up to skating out by himself like they do in the NHL.

What a clown show.
 
Does Pando run the locker room or leave it to the assistants? I have so many questions about discipline and the teams we've seen under him. This year its really biting them.
 
Flush the weekend. I’m more encouraged about what this team could do down the stretch than I’ve been all season. We have a goalie. They played a very strong game. BC is stupid good and gives up zero space in their own end.

That has been the most impressive thing about BC this weekend, and I am including Fowler in that. The BC defense is not flashy. They don't have a Hutson or Willander offensively on the blueline. But they are solid, solid, solid. They get the puck out of the defensive zone and make very few mistakes.

On Friday, I don't think BU should have pulled the goalie down 2-4 with a powerplay. Try and score on the powerplay, and then look to pull the goalie. That empty net goal effectively ended the game.

I wouldn't blame Caron on three of the four goals he gave up on Friday. But Yegorov's play tonight is going to give Pandolfo something serious to think about.

BU's team discipline was better this weekend, but playing without Celebrini and Frechette left the defense short and overworked against a skilled opposition.

One other thing, as an alum, it is an embarrassment when the student sections on both sides chant "F*** BC" and "F*** BU." Both sides should be able to come up with much more clever insults.
 
An utter embarrassment to the program this weekend. Worst BU-BC weekend in recent memory. Totally owned except for one PP in the first period of game 1 and one of the goals was a fluke . Outscored 7-0 over the last 5 periods. Clown show beginning of this game totally on Pandolfo and I’m glad they paid for it. They aren’t on the same planet as BC and they really sb closer when you look at the talent ( except for Fowler). Going to be a miserable last 2 months to watch this team circle the drain. Wasted Eiserman and Cole Hutson’s only year and I think LaChance might stay 4 now since he looked lost against the better competition
