Hi All. Was there ever a time where Cole Eiserman was committed to BU, or was BU just after him and a supposed finalist? I for some reason was thinking he was coming to BU, but now see he will be a Gopher.

Does Notre Dame still have a national TV contract now that NBC Sports channel is no more? I want to know if we'll be able to watch the games BU plays there.

The BU-Notre Dame games could be on Big 10 Network (BTN), which is included in many cable sports packages. Last season's BU-Michigan games were available to stream from BTN+ which you can buy for a month.

So, the answer to my question is no, then? :) I'm asking because I'm thinking of arranging a watch party somewhere as it's my birthday that weekend. I need to know if that could happen.

He was never committed to BU. He committed to Minnesota pretty much right when the commitment period began, maybe a couple days after? There were rumors that BU had the inside track on him, then a story indicated that Minnesota was very much in the mix. Us BU fans had dreams of a Macklin Celebrini + Cole Eiserman tandem - though with Celebrini accelerating to this fall and getting drafted next summer, there is a decent chance that he will be a pro by the time Eiserman starts his NCAA career. Hopefully not!

Key items on the schedule to discuss:
- First home game - that counts - not until October 27 : (
- Fired up for North Dakota at Agganis
- The defending National Champions on the Wed before Thanksgiving followed by Red Hot Hockey is a tough week.
- At Yale! (Cool building. I highly recommend a visit if you can.)
- Jan 5 exhibition. Dumb.
- Double weekend at UVM - again... (Shouldn't this alternate?)
- BC Home & Home so close to the Beanpot and BC in the first round.
- Extra PC game so close to the home & home weekend. Bleh.
- Closing at home vs. UVM. Could be a needed W.

No trip to Orono in 2023-24? What's up with that?

Grad transfer Nick Howard, an all-star goalie at Saint Anselm's, will be BU's third transfer goalie for the 2023-24 season. Looks to be more than the usual third-string gate keeper.

In the 2-game NE-10 conference tournament, Howard stopped 71 of 72 shots, earning MVP honors. From Burlington, Mass.

When was the last time BU went into a season with an all-new goalie room?

Not sure if it was the last time, but in 08-09’, BU had the freshman tandem of Kieran Millan and Grant Rollheiser. That one worked out pretty well.

Sure did. The third goalie that year was sophomore Adam Kraus. BU also had two freshman goalies--Sean Maguire and Matt O'Connor--in '12-'13, Jack Parker's finals season, but 3rd goalie Anthony Moccia was a junior.

I'm not sure I agree with this. But I guess I haven't paid close attention to the background of the third string goalies we have had. I think there is a pretty big drop off from D-1 to D-3 at that position, but I don't have much to base that on. I mean it is important to have someone that isn't going to crap the bed if we have to rely on them, but I think we have had more qualified third goalies before. Perhaps it isn't fair to include the years where we have had true D-1 recruits at the same time (e.g. Cashman, Herloksky, and McKersie; Herlofsky, McKersie, and Noble). Wasn't John Curry the third string goalie when he first arrived?

It is certainly nice to know that he has good playoff experience.

We've had members of the pep-band as our third string goalie. I think we're good.

I haven’t been to a home game in years. I’m looking at buying tickets. I’d like to sit next to the student section but not in it. Would that be section 114? TIA

Saw that Jamie Armstrong is going to BC for his final season. Any insight as to what he could do for BC? Perhaps the last spot on the third line? Seems to have good size with few penalties and did have 5G 8A last year.
