BU '23-'24 Season: Pandomania

Then there is the memory of Grier laying a big hit on Andy Silverman at WBA, and Silverman coming back for revenge, breaking his stick on Grier's back and getting called for a cross-checking penalty.

And the 0-0 tie where Walsh had 6 skaters on the ice for the final draw in BU's end with a few seconds left in OT (while still having a goalie in too).

I thought I was the only one that remembered that!

Anyway, good to see BU respond after the super early Maine goal.

Another high quality hockey game at Agganis. Maine is the real deal. (One draft pick.)

What the hell happened to NESN? I recorded the game and the 1st period was PC-UMass. WTF?

I have a baaaaad feeling….
The sub announcer on ESPN declared the game over at 5-2 which was insane as Maine was buzzing most of the night. Meanwhile some real stupidity by BU giving up odd men chances and Zabeneh of the 0 goals triggered the comeback with an idiotic penalty. Maybe Caron bailing the team out at the end will end up being a good thing in the long run. I hope Jay uses that finish in a constructive way.

He knows. From his presser.

"It was a big weekend sweep for us against a very good team ... I think what we need to take away from it as a team is we need to learn how to close games out ... We have to manage the game much better. It's still early in the season, so hopefully we learn."

They should have wanted to score three more goals after they went up 5-2. Really put the nail in the coffin but they didn’t. There was way too much time after Hutson scored. Credit to Maine for not giving up.

I want to know how Caron didn’t get one of the three stars. He’s the biggest reason BU swept. I think he played better tonight than last night.

Yep, Caron was the difference maker last night. Had a great game. Ostman was sleep walking a bit. Didnt get much of a read on Ostmans replacement (a Swede) because he wasnt tested much. But looked on TV to be comfortable out there, I guess.

BU is a solid talented team that could very well go far, weekend belong to Caron as he stone walled Maine time after time...Maine is a work in progress...may meet again down the road...maybe.
