Heck of a game by Caron, particularly that second period. Clutch goal with time running down in the third on the PP!

That was some effort! I thought the lucky bounce making it 2-0 would be it. Special teams and goaltending were the difference. We got that PP goal and it sure did matter. Great kill tonight. This is a never give up team for sure!

Talk about a character win....

5,200 in the house is damn impressive for a 5pm start the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

This team has skill and intangibles (So far.) Love to see it.

My God is QU disciplined and structured. They just don't make mistakes and they play the game the right way the entire night.

I loved seeing all the love for Vinny. I'm sure he would like that one puck he couldn't quite coral back, (that resulted in the tying goal) but otherwise he was solid.

Why was Rand being such a tool bag at the end? What was his beef?

Because that’s who he is! I used to root for Quinnipiac and then I saw his antics first hand I think the last time Quinnipiac came to Agganis which my guess was the year or two before Covid. He was complaining, moaning, and whining the entire game. Have disliked Quinnipiac since. Rand’s public image is very different than his modus operandi.

Great game last night and surprising to see the huge turn out on a get away Thanksgiving Weds afternoon. Best team we haved faced all year was North Dakota. They have the talent, speed and discipline to give you fits. Quinnipiac is highly structured but not as talented and take away the fluky goal off Webber and that would have been a different game. Wish we had played Vinny more last year and he would still be here.

To me, QU is the best team we've played. UND has more high end offensive skill but were more prone to defensive lapses. I was also not overly impressed by their goalie so that's probably a wash with Vinny. QU was better in all zones and played a more cohesive structure, that's better suited for winning single-elimination tournament games. Both are excellent teams and national title contenders, but if you asked me who has a better shot at winning four straight elimination games I'd give the very slight edge to QU.

Great game, treat to watch. 0-0 after two and it was a blast. Talent everywhere. Any idea why Legault was barking into the BU bench after his goal? And why/who Tuch was directing his displeasure at when he pointed his stick into the QU bench? I do think both goalies can't be called a weakness, but maybe a soft spot in the lineup?

Yale fans have known this since 2013.

I read that BU was the first team to come back from 2 goals down to beat QU since they lost at Colgate back on 21 January. It's actually more impressive than that, as since the start of the 2021-22 season the Bobcats are 75-4-4 when leading at any point in a game. The losses were to UND on 11/23/2021 at home (1 goal); at Colgate on 1/21/2023 (2 goals); at UNH on 10/21/2023 (1 goal); and at BU yesterday (2 goals). For comparison BU is 57-11-2 over the same period.

One of my good friends was a Div. 1 referee. He always brags that he was the first official to eject Pecknold.

Oh yeah?! Tell Chip he’s the worst official in NCAA hockey history. We had a party when he “retired”….he was kicked out because he was horrible.

This is some schedule to start the season. Should be a fun one to watch again tonight. It certainly keeps the team highly motivated day in and day out. Looks like the Cornell starter, Ian Shane, was pulled after giving up 3 in 10 minutes in the Quinnipiac game. He then didn’t play in their next game against Princeton. Anyone know if it was an injury situation? In any case it’s time we take back the trophy in this game. It’s the year to do it!

Legault was originally committed to BU, and decommitted when BU signed Lachlan Getz (anyone remember him?). Legault's father played at BU.
He was probably pointing out what BU was missing out on.
