Again (especially without the ability apparently to use emojis) it's hard to detect sarcasm, but I would say this. You put any person in the role in which they are best suited to be successful. Not everyone is cut out to be a head coach, but you don't throw the baby out with the bath water either.

Again (especially without the ability apparently to use emojis) it's hard to detect sarcasm, but I would say this. You put any person in the role in which they are best suited to be successful. Not everyone is cut out to be a head coach, but you don't throw the baby out with the bath water either.
I am 100% serious. I would love for Albie to stay on as an assistant/recruiter but that would never happen. I think Pandolfo would be able to bring this program to the next level. He has the cache for a head coach.

We don't know if Pandolfo would be a good head coach or not. There is no real evidence either way, until he has actually done it.
How much credit for the turn-around goes to Pandolfo, who knows? Maybe the players. Maybe Friedman and Dacord have something to do with, too?
The bottom line is the last two weekends, the second games have led fans to lose faith in Albie again, if they had any in the first place.
I believe the answer is that the Big East (basketball) tournament semi-finals are Saturday, and in the bracket that UConn is in, the game is at 9:00. That would give UConn fans a chance to see both games (hockey and b-ball).
Ah, that could be it.
Weather is supposed to be crappy on Saturday. Was toying with the idea of going but not driving all the way there if it’s going to be stormy.

Let's hope nobody associated with the team reads Jim Connelly's "bracketology" column which says there are a "maximum" of two spots "open" in the NCAAs and that BU has a 30% chance to make the tournament. They should only be thinking about one thing...win every game from hereon out.

Given what happened early in the season and over the last two weekends, that is definitely the reality of the situation. Bottom line, they pretty much have to win the HE tourney to get in.

Any update on injuries? Any sightings of Vlasic? Since there was no news as to why he didn't play up in Maine, I'm wondering if he disappeared or something.
Hasn't disappeared. He's prominently in this video posted yesterday with the team addressing an important issue. Webber is there, too, though had to watch twice to spot him. Without naming names, Albie noted during yesterday's media call that they'd be getting players back. More comments on today's blog post.

Folks on this thread should all be rooting for UConn against Villanova in basketball tonight. If they win, the Big East Tournament championship game is at 6:30 tomorrow night at MSG and XL will be an absolute morgue for the hockey game.
