- Dop was the difference, though I agree many shots were not tough saves. But that save on Armstrong on the 2-on-1 was immense.
- The next biggest difference was having to rely on Copeland and Jarman, instead of McCarthy. Copeland, who looked great the Beanpot, made a bad play on the tying goal. And Jarman looked like a guy who had not played all season, as he was. Just out of synch, looked nervous.
- And finally, the power play took a step back (yes, I know our only goal was on the PP). Too much standing around, passing back and forth eating up clock and ending up with the same look after 15 seconds.
But this doesn't erase the amazing run they have been on. If they don't sweep Maine (no easy task) then perhaps they peaked too early. But if the do, then I think that means they still have to be considered a threat to win the HE title.
