Re: BU 2013 Offseason Thread - Bring on the Mighty Quinn

Maybe its just that Harvard kind of feels a lot like Brown to me... so really its just Providence instead of Northeastern!

IF BU and BC met in the 3rd place game of this one.... would it still be a big game? :D

sure!

tweet said "first year". i'm guessing it would be brown & pc going forward. bu and bc would not be usual suspects.

Although, you may wonder why Bernie Corbett would be so involved in creating a tournament where BU would only play once. This could be at least an every other year thing in effort to replace the BU-BC game that is being lost.

Perhaps, Bernie wishes to assist an effort to bring a Christmas Tournament to southern New England. It's been many years since there's been such a tournament.

Yes. Here's the link to RSVP. It's at Stout NYC on 33rd Street on June 5. A week later there will be a similar event in Boston at Tia's.

Bonino GWG video and an article by Travis Roy on living with life-changing injuries in today's blogpost.

Re: BU 2013 Offseason Thread - Bring on the Mighty Quinn

why couldn't you guys hire sullivan so i wouldn't have to watch his powerplays much longer? it's pretty impressive with all that talent how atrocious it is.

bu fans: always looking out for #1

bc fans: men & women for others

From Chris Peters, editor of United States of Hockey and former USA Hockey PR guy:

‏@chrismpeters 3h Just heard from a direct source on the Jack Eichel rumors. No truth to him leaving the NTDP for Halifax next year. Unlikely to change.

FWIW, Peters was in Sochi with the U18s last month doing Webcast play-by-play of the World U18 Championships.

Chris Peters is one of the best sources on junior hockey, if not the best.

So it's not gonna happen next year, just the following year...

Re: BU 2013 Offseason Thread - Bring on the Mighty Quinn

So did Jackie put in a call to Claude to tell him to pull the goalie? :D

Re: BU 2013 Offseason Thread - Bring on the Mighty Quinn

That list sucks, including some of the BC mentions. They decided to include upsets as comebacks regardless of the fact that not all of them were in fact great "comebacks". It does look like they shortened the list from when I originally saw it. At first, there were some real head scratchers on it.

Re: BU 2013 Offseason Thread - Bring on the Mighty Quinn

There is a list of Boston's greatest comebacks on boston.com that you can vote on. 2009 BU over Miami is on the list.

http://www.boston.com/sports/2013/05/14/boston-greatest-comebacks/EXcWTYzjryNqkJ06rpCHVM/story.html?pg=15

i agree, it should be ............imagine you cant finish looking at it with out having a boston.com account? also, LOL!!! UMass bball over North Carolina........um, sorry, it didn't count OR belong on the list, at least the list that i was allowed to see ................there is the sox over yanks in 2004, then everything else comes afterwards, even last night

From the schedules thread... Playing Dartmouth at home on Wed Jan 8th....

Hmm.. a Wednesday night and I assume the students will still be on break at that point...

Not a good recipe for attendance for that one.
