there's a good buck in that racket.
why would they ask gill not to come back?
have to ask DQ that.

What an effort. 60 minutes worth, too.
have to ask DQ that.
From a source whom I talked to during the weekend of the @ BC & @ Lowell games, let's just say Gill was "less than fully committed" to the program following the coaching change. Kinda forced Quinn's hand.
Couldn't agree more, looked like real BU Hockey for the first time this year.
Made me proud. O'Regan totally earned the goal.
What exactly were you proud about ? That they tried and it was close ? Is that what BU hockey has come to . #laughingstock

I think most of us have accepted that this years team is not a very talented team, and one of the worst BU teams in some time. From that perspective, IMHO, there is nothing wrong with saying you are proud of taking the #2 team to the last minute. Do I wish that BU was so good this year that this loss would be the low point of the season? Sure. But being a realist, I'm pleased with the effort they gave and they darn near sent it to OT. So hashtag it however you want. But I disagree that this team is a laughing stock.
I mean, on paper at least, this team is better with those 3 guys.
From what I was told over the summer I conjecture that if Parker was still the coach Gill would be here, but once he retired no matter who was hired Gill likely wasn't coming back, and not out of some loyalty to Parker (or Bavis). A coach who had known Gill for years could have kept him, one that had only known him for months would have much more trouble doing so.

Wouldn't Quinn most likely have been the one to have recruited Gill? At least at the start of the process?
So it sounds like you are proud as well and I am right that's where BU hockey is at 5 yrs after a NC was going to thrust them back into the elite. It is unacceptable and I am disgusted at every loss and never " proud" of the effort. And Parker being around this team and at the event makes me want to puke. We can't miss you if you don't go away.I think most of us have accepted that this years team is not a very talented team, and one of the worst BU teams in some time.
