Correct, BSU hardley ever "traps." They rather pressure the puck. Add in some good team speed (more than UNO expected, I would guess), and it was likely frustrating. Also, if anyone listened to College Hockey Tonight, we talked about BSU being a hard working team, and that Dean Blais coached teams typically were very hard-working too. So, a fast hard working team beat the #4 team in the country, even though the other squad might have had more "talent." Not the first (or last) time that's going to happen...
I don't get the trap talk either. I'm assuming they were frustrated that their team lost. From what I saw on Saturday night Bemidji just outworked UNO and for a change they finished some opportunities. As I remember BSU rarely traps, they aren't good at it....at allI consider that to be a good thing.
