BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

The hockey wing consists of the locker rooms (both men and women) AND all visiting locker rooms, plus coaches offices and weight room and training room. BSU had to pay for furnishing that portion of the building.

The hockey wing is not ANY part of the arena that you can see from the bowl.

The history walls (murals) are really cool to see. Tom said (on the air, so take him up on it) that all you need to do to see that area of the building is to come on a non-gameday and ask the hockey staff...they'll show you around.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Does anyone know if there will be any Beaver pride events in madison this weekend? Also does anyone know what section Beaver fans tickets thru Beaver Pride are?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Are the games on TV or online this weekend?

I don't seem on the B2TV network.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

I should add a lot of times I get Badger games that are on Fox Sports North-Wisconsin on DirecTV channel 669. Not sure if other carriers do that as well.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Woohoo!! Thanks, Moose, for mentioning my alma mater on today's College Hockey Tonight. Definitely wasn't expecting the Boise State reference, but you are right about Yale hockey at number one being similar to the Boise State football rankings debate. I actually chose the Beavers as my hockey team because they reminded me so much of my beloved Boise State football team. Both have a great winning tradition with multiple national championships in lower divisions. Both teams have risen relatively fast after going to division 1 in their respective sports. But enough about that.

Hope the Beavers can at least pull off a split this weekend. Go Beavers, and Go Broncos (the Boise State variety)!!!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

As of 12/07/10

Matt Climie-San Antonio Rampage (AHL) 15GP 11W-4L-0SOL, 2.10 GAA, 93.3 SV%, 2 Shutout, 1 Assist

Riley Weselowski-Rapid City Rush (CHL) 20 GP, 0G-5A-5 Pts, 35 PIM

Glad to see Matt having a great year in San Antonio. He was outstanding in goal for us here in Boise a couple of years ago (with the Idaho Steelheads). I really hope he makes it to the NHL and sticks with a team.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

I scrolled down for a quick look, did not see post with this news, so FYI ... looks like Matt Francis may be out for the season. Franny took a hit earlier in the season, was out with a separated shoulder. He came back for a couple-few games, then took another hit. I saw him skate off with his shoulder hanging and I knew it was going to be bad news. After the game, his arm was in a sling. I just heard that he may be out for the season but that is unconfirmed.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Matt Climie got called up. Hopefully he stays there for a while for Phoenix.

Good luck Matt!

That is good to hear (I have been away from the computer for a couple of days). I hope he gets a start or two, even if he doesn't stay long.

And Climie gets in to his first game after LaBarbara gives up 5 in the first 27+ minutes tonight...

Matt allowed 1 and Phoenix scored 1 while he was in (32:24 of work - 15 saves on 16 shots after LaBarbara went 17 for 22). The 'Yotes are at San Jose on Thursday. It'll be interesting to see if Climie has earned a start.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

That would be a wonderful thing to see. Climie was such a pleasure to watch when he was at BSU.
