BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Hey, e-mail me when you've got a minute (it's public under my profile). I always have a problem sending you stuff...

Done! If you ever have problems, you can get my e-mail on the front page of The BeaverPond.

I myself was happy with the way we kept the Connolly line in check. Staying out of the box is another story though. I would've sat Wacker for a few minutes or even a period. Not crazy about the new uni's. Cursive writing on sports jersey just doesn't look right. Love our Green away jersey.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

I have four seats available each night for the Northern Michigan series. Would like to be there, but our new son is being baptized that weekend.

Section L, Row 8, Seats 3, 4, 5, and 6. Selling at face value of $20 a piece.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

What is with the choice of songs at the new arena? Some of the blatant profanity is kind of a concern as I don't think those opposed to the arena need any ammunition against the experience. Lots of new ticket holders have kids and I would like them to come back again next year.

Also, what's with the school song not being played after a goal? Geez if they want people to cheer they have to play stuff that used to be a cheer. Yelling BEMIDJI Bemidji Bemidji goooooo Beavers... now that was fun.

The student section is so stretched out, it is virtually impossible to organize a crowd chant. One chant will be going on one side while another is starting up on the other.

We need a leader!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

So, it looks like this week's football game between St. Cloud and Bemidji could really make the NSIC's Mineral Water Bowl bid interesting if Bemidji would win...

Currently, the NSIC standings are, with two weeks to go:

3. St. Cloud State (7-2, 7-1)
4. Bemidji State (6-3, 5-3)
4. Concordia-St. Paul (6-3, 5-3)
4. Winona State (6-3, 5-3)

Head to head tiebreakers as of right now:

Winona: H2H over CSP (did not play Bemidji)
BSU: No H2H, but has SCSU coming up and needs the win to get one H2H
SCSU: H2H over Winona and Concordia with Bemidji coming up.
Concordia: H2H over Bemidji

Remaining schedules:

Winona hosts Mary and Wayne State
Bemidji is at St. Cloud and hosts Crookston
St. Cloud hosts Bemidji and is at Moorhead
Concordia hosts Upper Iowa and is at Southwest Minnesota Sta

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Anyone know if there was a Sports In The Round last night? They are promoting it on the BSU athletics website, but it's not listed on the Beaver radio network podcast web page.

They are supposed to have SCSU hockey and football coaches interviews. Or maybe I'm the only one who listens to the podcast?

I listen to the podcasts. It is nice since I can download them to my computer at work and then listen to them.

Now if Moose can get the new College Hockey Tonight broadcasts to be downloadable (for free, I think Quicktime will allow you to do it, but you have to "upgrade"), everything would be right with the universe. :)

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Wow, BSU gets their first WCHA win and this thread has slipped to page 3 of the D-I forum. All the BSU posters must still be out in the deer stands.

Congrats to the Beavers for getting that monkey off their back! Now with Anchorage coming in, can the Beavers make it two (or three) in a row?

BSU needs to find some more scoring. The Read, Lowe, George Line hasn't really missed a beat from last year as all three of them are averaging a point a game. It has been nice seeing Emil finding the back of the net, but outside of those four, it is getting pretty thin. The goalies have looked decent from what I have seen, but then again, I did not see the Friday 6-3 loss to SCSU.

Hopefully the Beavers can pick up four points this weekend before heading to Denver. Hopefully the boys don't have a letdown (I don't think the coaches would allow it) and the attendance at the games is at least 3500. Lets fill the Sanford Center and get the place rocking!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

I listened to the Sat. game on the radio, very exciting to get that win especially after the Fri game. Any word when/if Kinne is returning? We need his scoring.

From what I hear, he is under medical-redshirt this year, and will return next year with full eligibility. This is from a very good source, but I could be wrong.

It was good to see Kinne at the green/white scrimmage. Guess we'll just have to wait.

Per Moose/WCHA: "Congrats to Jordan George, co-WCHA offensive POTW - first ever for BSU men."
