BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

A very good weekend of hockey by the Green. About 5 bad minutes of bad hockey on Friday cost them the sweep. I was really starting to get worried on all the missed breakaways on Saturday, burying one or two of those would have put the game away.

Walsh looked older than a freshman on Saturday. Looks like a nice alternative for when Bakala needs a break!

Huntsville week. Let's Go Green!

I agree. BSU made two bad mistakes Friday that gave tPios the game. They played fantastic D and PK, and Walsh was solid in net. DU's goalie stood on his head too.

I think Walsh may to deserve to be in rotation with Baks. Walsh has been very steady where Baks has been a little inconsistent. Regardless, I'm happy with Walsh as a freshie.

Hopefully, the Beavs should get some of the healthy scratches some ice time against UAH.

Hey y'all! My name is Geof, and I hate Bemidji State. I am, however, in full favor of Matt Read for the Calder, and I get mad when Ville Leino does dangerous things: http://theshanahammer.com/2011/12/09/ville-leino/ [shameless plug]

Remember Tom's first year in Bemidji after Mr. Peters retired? Remember lock it down, dump-and-chase-and-go-win-a-puck-battle hockey? That's what you see us do right now.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Question: Now that Huntsville may get a reprieve, is it politically correct to start a "Who Hates Huntsville" thread? Also, is there a chance someone may start a 2011/2012 Beaver thread?

Some of us will understand, but given that there are so many unknowns I'd advise against it.

I talked to Chris that night. He really enjoyed the whole deal. The boy curled one day, which I know that they enjoyed.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Well, I think I pretty much have TheBeaverPond website updated through the end of last year. I had to shut down as it was time to watch the NHL Classic, so I may not get to this years information until MLK Day, which is my next day off from work AND the kiddos go to daycare.

Got to love the days off with daycare still open. I can get so much more done!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Read looked good out there. Did the NBC guys drop a "this kid's from Bemidji State in Minnesota" like every announcer ever?

The Nuge having a shoulder injury has to help Matt's Calder chances. I'd offer to create a voodoo doll for each of his competitors, but I could never get Martin Biron to go down in front of Scott Munroe.
