BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Read looked good out there. Did the NBC guys drop a "this kid's from Bemidji State in Minnesota" like every announcer ever?

The Nuge having a shoulder injury has to help Matt's Calder chances. I'd offer to create a voodoo doll for each of his competitors, but I could never get Martin Biron to go down in front of Scott Munroe.

GFM

Early in the first period, probably his first or second shift, Bemidji State was mentioned on the broadcast.

And I am sure Matt would take any help you could give him, even if it comes from a Charger and Bruin Fan!!! :p

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Former Beaver Matt Read will be taking Jagr's spot on Philly's top line tonight when they take on Chicago.

Go Get 'Em, Matt!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Former Beaver Ian Lowe has been returned to Idaho (ECHL) from Texas (AHL). Lowe played in six AHL games and did not register a point.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

If anyone is interested I have tickets for sale for saturday's game. The tickets are in section 1 row 4. They are right behind both benches and actually in the first row of the section. You also are right next to the tunnel for the away team. The face value is $28/ each so make your best offer.

College Hockey Tonight is online. If you haven't listened lately, you might want to check it out - George Gwozdecky gets a little annoyed with me by the end of our interview (re: NCHC)... Click here to listen...

Yep Moose, I think you got him a little riled up there! Nice Work! :D

But you are right, it is something that in Bemidji, we, as fans, are concerned about. The teams may be focused on the ice, but I think your questions were more than okay at this time, especially with Gwoz being so "public" about the NCHC in the past.

Moose! YOU ARE DA MAN!!

much appreciation for putting curious George on the hot seat. very very good.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

After about five hours of work today, I believe I have The BeaverPond completely updated, or at least as good as it is going to get for now. The schedule, recruits, pros, stats, etc., have all been updated.

If you see anything that I may have missed, please let me know!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Former Beaver Matt Read will take on the Minnesota Wild tonight, 01/17/12, on FoxSportsNorth. A great chance for Beaver fans to see Matt in action!

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Do you Cow Tippers even have a thread for THIS season, or, has this one just sort of melded into this year?

Was impressed with the number of Beaver fans that made the trip the last time you were here (regular season, not playoffs).

Please don't mess up our season this weekend. Roll over. Die. Hand us four points, please.

I hate Dan Bakala. We made him look like Dominik Hasek Last year. They way he and Clarke Saunders of Alabama-Huntsville played against us last season (and, to a lesser extent in Bakala's case this year) you'd think they were separated at birth or something.

The wife and I vacation every year at Breezy Point and we drove up to Bemidji last summer and took an outside look at the Sanford Center on a day trip up to Lake Itasca. Nice looking facility. Bemidji is, of course, a nice town. I wish we'd made the trip up there now what with the whole NCHC thing.

My guess is that you guys and LSU and will be end up being the "star power" of the new WCHA .
