BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

The first BSU fan I witnessed today in St.Paul today was wearing a camoflague hat. You're sure not helping the stereotype.

I am not sure which team you support but by this post you are not helping the stereotype that the fanbase is comprised of a bunch of *ssholes.

If I recall correctly, BSU sold some camoflagued hats one year. So, that hat actually went to help support the program.

And, I believe BlueDevilRadio is a UW-Stout supporter. Could be wrong, but that is my guess.

Nothing on Matt Read yet, that I have seen..........

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Just did a quick comparison of BSU against the NCAA field this year. BSU went 7-8-3 against Union, Duluth, Denver, CC, UNO and UND with 46 GF and 55 GA. Outside of the 0-4 record against UND and the -13 goal differential, the Green did well against NCAA teams this year.

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

2-8-2 against teams not named UNO though which hurts to say as a UNO fan. Just wanted to say I was very impressed with Bemidji at the Final 5, I think they just ran out of gas against a well rested Denver team.

I can't wait to get another shot at you guys next year for almost single handedly knocking us out of the tourney

My numbers were off, it should be 8-8-3, as I forgot to add the win from Union in the mix (I did get their goals though).

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Going crazy! I keep checking the BSU site for any update. I'll keep checking in here to see if you get any word Millsy.

According to Matt Read's agent via Twitter: "Expect Matt Read to sign within 48 hours."

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

I saw that! Hopefully he will be wearing Green and Red!

I hope you're right. Him and Zucker would actually give college hockey fans someone to cheer for on the Wild. And they're not bad hockey players either . . .

Re: BSU '10-'11: Can the Beav's Read the W and be in the Hunt?

Per Eric Stromgren (BJI Pioneer), who confirmed with Serratore, Matt Read sign with Philly! Awesome - good luck Matt!

Former Beaver Tyler Scofield was back in the lineup for Kiagenfurt after sitting out a couple of games with a concussion. In game one of the Erste Bank Austrian League Championship, he tallied two goals and two assists in a 6-5 victory.

"Another beauty of an assist from Matt Read, who has three in the game. His vision is phenomenal."

"Matt Read is making things look easy. The kid just picked up his fourth assist of the game, this one to Michael Ryan on the power play to make it 5-0. These are layups. He has nine points in his first seven pro games."
