Ya, I'm Digit - or am I Coady? I forget! I've been reading these pages and I can't believe you people still don't get it. The coaching on that team is pathetic. Now, I said "coaching", not "coaches", so back off. I'm giving my critique:
Okay, so flashback to last Monday. In preparation for the weekend's games with Harvard and Dartmouth. What did I do? I gave the team the day offi on Monday. And I did it again on Tuesday. Then guess what I did? I took them to practice on the pond. That'll really toughen these girls up, I thought. Thank God Coady didn't fall in. I mean, thank God I didn't fall in.

Are you kidding me? Effective Coaching?

On a more serious note, I would maybe think about not posting anything else on this forum if you could get me 3 free Tim Hortons for life cards.

Alas...afraid that's not possible. She can't catch, she only pitches...

With respect to your exodus from this forum I honestly hope you stick around. Even though I don't necessarily agree with what your saying on this particular thread, my sense is you have the knowledge, ability and gawd knows the writing skills.... to contribute to a number of topics on this forum.

Hang around. We'll have a few laughs!

Why do you need 3 Tim's cards for life? Do you have friends? :)

Have no fear, I can pitch, I can catch, I can run and I can hit. I can hit hard. And I can even play hockey, believe it or not.
But on a more serious note, HCKY85, don't you dare quit. You have toed the line for the team that should have been. These girls lost more than just a season. They lost a chance to shine thanks to some big egos behind the bench. I guess if you're too smart on that team, they get rid of you - real fast. Watch out 5 4 fighting, won't be long before your girl is gone if she's as great as you say she is. Finer kids have already been cut - even a Canadian, eh?

See now there you go again Cookie. I don't have a girl on Brown, just a former player and friend. I can gaurentee you that she isn't going anywhere. Unfortunatley, because of you.... I can`t say the same about your daughter.
I feel really bad for her.

I can speak to the proper spelling and the character of # 8 Erica Farrer. This young power forward is a true athlete in every sense of the word. Fierce competitor, quiet leader, big, strong, smart, huge wing span and arguably the most well conditioned player on the team. I've had the pleasure of coaching and knowing Erica for a number of years and was very happy for her when she was accepted at Brown and reached her goal of playing Ivy.

Fastforward as my heart sank when these threads started as it was painful for me to know that she would have to endure all this mud slinging, innuendo and constant bickering about her team, her coach and their less than stellar win/loss record on inexplicably, a public forum for the entire hockey world to see. Family, friends, former team mates, former teachers and yes former coaches among others had it all splayed out in front of them. The very things that they were taught from a young age to deal with in the room were being debated in front of thier very eyes by people they didn't even know. Unbefreakinlievable!

I tried to point out in my very first post that these types of things can tear a dressing room apart, drive wedges so deep you would need dynamite to remove them...but oh no... some of the posters here would have none of that, they were going to be heard with little or no regard as to who they ran over.... in order to accomplish....what?

Too many chose to overlook the team and what effect this was having on them as they persisted in all this senseless debate. That is sad..very sad.

As I'm on record in my first post, I don't mind repeating...some of you here should be ashamed of yourselves.

Hang in there Erica, tell your team mates to do the same. Many here are pulling for you all.

Chances are I’d lose at least one of the cards in a lifetime. But once you make a deal you can’t go back so it’d be nice to have three just to be on the safe side.

But not calling it quits, I spent way too much time on this website and need to take a break.

Ya know Blackwidow, after reading some of 5 4 fighting's posts it's all coming together now. It's his daughter, eh?!!!! How does a guy from Alberta know so much about Brown if he's not an insider? He's got a vested interest. You tell your kid not to read these posts? Now I know why. She'd be embarrassed if she saw how many posts her dad was writing. HMMMM!

While I bailed on this debate in general, like to confirm you are off the mark with this one

I know 5-4, talk to him occasionally and I can guarantee you that he is:

A - A parent of a daughter playing college hockey.
B - A well respected coach from Alberta, Canada.
C - Personally knows a couple of players on the current Brown roster.
D - Does not have a daughter at Brown.

Most of you are so narrow minded and blinded by this subject and thread, that you never picked up on the clues elsewhere.

We have many things in common:
- We contribute on many subjects, not just this one.
- Firm believers in Respect, Teamwork...Hockey the Canadian way.
- Connected via the past to some of the players on the current roster.
- Do not have any daughters on the current roster, and neither of us have ever had a daughter on the Brown roster in the past.

I'm Out...Again....C-Ya.
