So he’s resigning but staying as PM until a new leadership election? Meaning he’s going to spend the next few months doing anything and everything to enrich himself and his cronies? Seems like a solid plan…
 
Any truth to the rumor that Drew S is the new chancellor of the exchequer? <-- I just love saying "chancellor of the exchequer," so British.
 
Can someone (preferably not a certain person I blocked from NoDak) explain exactly what happened? I have been working nonstop the last couple weeks and dont have the patience to read about it cause well fuck the British.

His cabinet exploded. Repeatedly. Like, it was pretty specatacular. His minister of something or other (or maybe his chancellor, I don'tknow) was one of the ones who resigned. Then two days later, the person he named to replace the former minister then called for Boris to resign.
Wash, rinse, repeat x 40.
Some ridiculously awkward meetings with MPs were shown saying he's politically dead and he kept saying "Nah" (and that's only a slight simplification of what he actually said)

Today he said he intends to resign. Which is interesting because I imagine it's about 50:50 whether he actually intends to. He said he wants to wait until a new leader is chosen.

There are also rumors of him trying to call an election or even the queen getting involved. Which would be extraordinary.

I doubt the Queen gets involved. If there’s anything that is an absolute for her it’s that she’ll never get involved.

I think the Tories are trying to anything they can to avoid an election as well because they’ll get murdered right now.

I'd like to believe it but if the British people had even the intelligence the good lord gave Michiganers there would never have been a Brexit.
