Brexit 2: Happy Halloween

Saw a tweet yesterday that said something like "are we going to call it Breentry now?"

The EU already told them to sod off.

The only way back would be if Scotland left, thus ending the United Kingdom and Great Britain. England, Northern Ireland, and Wales could then reconstitute and apply for "new" membership.

At this point just split them all up. Ireland (finally united), Scotland, England, Wales, and Cornwall. 5 different nations.

I would love it if a customs union were the eventual impetus for Ireland being reunited.

I'm guessing there could be some ripples that cross the atlantic from this. If the pensions are needing to raise a third of a trillion in GBP, they are going to need to start unloading some of their assets. I think. Just not sure what they're selling and/or buying to cover these collateral deficits. If that includes US-based securities, that would be not so good for us.

But again, I'm not entirely sure how broad this impact is.

Oh we will feel some impact...but it will be a blip.

If you have the wherewithal I would suggest looking into buying GBP. It is already down because of all this and likely to really tank come Friday if something isn't done. It will rebound though so as a long term investment it is not a bad idea. I wish my gf's parents still did this type of work for the banks because I could be in like Flynn!

I did in a very roundabout, peated way. :-D
