Today's 1:10 eastern start is MLB.TV's free game of the day for those of you who would like to watch.

Speaking of troubles running the bases, the double play yesterday on a 2-rbi single stung. I understand what they were trying to do, but first and second with no outs isn't a bad place to be.

3 out of 5 stars for the poutine, 5 out of 5 for the scoreboard.
1 out of 5 for the baseball game. :p (hey, at least they came back - once).

Kintzler had an MRI yesterday and they didn't find any damage.
Braun bruised his ankle running into the wall and is day to day.

**** Matt Kemp. at least Wolf didn't completely implode this time, I guess.

Stetter to the DL (hip), Mike Rivera is back (... wait, what? can he pitch? :p)

The TGFC was disappointed to only see Mr. Gwynn for a few innings this series.

Well, I've booked my flight. I'm going to get the chance to cross Fenway Park off my list and see the Brewers play there in June!

Ryan Braun left yesterday's game in the fifth with shoulder soreness.

Morgan can come back Saturday, but Roenicke said he isn't ready yet.

Glad that West Coast trip is over. Hey, the Brewers are probably just settling into bed now... Greinke pitches tonight vs Jason Hammel.

Saw Nyjer's tweet of the sunrise (nice view from wherever he was); wasn't sure if he was just up early or still awake.

He's either really likes the MKE area, or he at least fakes it well on Twitter.

Not that I am looking past the Nats, but you all may want to mark Friday on your calendars - Lincecum vs. Marcum. Should be a good one.

Injury updates: Erick Almonte was ready to return after being hit in the face with a thrown ball in BP... when he got hit in the face with a thrown ball in BP. <a href="http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/122482069.html">I am not making this up</a>. Zach Braddock broke a fingernail before he was scheduled to pitch in rehab (I think I read it cracked in 3 places, so it's not like he just needs a manicure).

Prince Fielder got his 50th RBI last night on his solo homer. Last year, he got his 50th RBI on August 2. Can you say contract year?

so, big series this weekend. for this point in the season, anyway.

matchups:
Fri: Narveson vs. Lohse
Sat: Greinke vs. Carpenter
Sun: Marcum vs. Westbrook

I don't normally make predictions, but I'll predict that
-Fielder will have at least 1 home run
-Albert and/or Tony LaRussa will be unhappy about someone's behavior

Those two things may or may not be related. ;)

Likely candidates for St. Albert's wrath: Braun, Fielder, Plush.

Headed to the game tonight! NMUKat got some tickets handed to her at work (corporate seats at Wrigley, first row near the Cubs dugout) and we're taking a couple friends! :D

Hoping the rain stays away, and looking forward to seeing Yo pitch tonight.

I knew playing the Cubs right after sweeping the Cards was going to be trouble. Amazingly, we are still in first place! btw, I really dislike Reed Johnson.
