Re: Bracketology

How many seats are needed for an arena to be considered for a regional?

Not sure... The Resch Center in Green Bay hosted the 2006 midwest regional and it's a pretty small venue at just around 10,200 seats.

I believe a regional is there next year hosted by Michigan Tech.

It would be so great of them to host NMU as the #1 seed.

Re: Bracketology

BC has North Dakota's number in recent post season play. I'm sure they're not looking forward to face BC in a regional.

Only 3 players on North Dakota's roster have ever lost to Boston College. I don't think BC is too intimidating or in too many of our players heads, unlike some of the previous players who have become accustomed to losing to BC. I say BRING IT ON. :D

Agreed. BC is more in the heads of the fans...and luckily we don't play the games :).

Re: Bracketology

Yes, true. For contrast:

UW enrollment - 42,030
Living alumni - 368,522

DU enrollment 11,292
Living alumni- Unlikely anyone has survived.

DU's living alumni are around 110,000, 50% of whom live on the Front range. DU would draw 100-200 fans in St. Paul, and about 100 to Worcester.

Re: Bracketology

Alabama-Huntsville defeats Robert Morris 1-0, and is one win away from taking a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Hopefully my Beavers can win tonight (6pm/CT vs Niagara) and then beat ALA-Huntsville tomorrow so that no bubble team will feel any extra pressure :p

Hakstol is still there, right? ;)

Re: Bracketology

CHA Semifinal Game #2 is one period away from sending either Niagara or Ala-Huntsville into the NCAA Tourney with an Auto-Bid, Niagara leads BSU 4-2 after 2 periods, and have looked very good vs the Beavers. Wouldn't a loss to Niagara be killer on BSU's RPI?

It would, but Bemidji already has an at-large berth wrapped up.
Edit: BSU's RPI would drop to .5456

They do? I've heard that, but figured it was talk. Was that figured out in one of those predictor things that have been linked on here?
