I was thinking the same thing. Good thing there's a wasn't a copter crash during the rescue, but who knows whether somebody who needed help was denied it.
Presumably there is a law against knowingly fabricating an emergency situation?

In some states they have "false reporting" laws. However, in this case, it seems like the parents are/were complete morons on a number of levels. I wonder what the cost/hour for a helicopter would be ... Maybe they should go to "the Chair" just for being on some reality TV show.
