Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

My biggest issue was that there seemed to be no speed, no adjustment to the style of play that UMass was playing. Dump and chase won't work if you don't build up any speed through the neutral zone. BU cannot play like this on Monday and hope to compete. I'm hoping that it was just playing to UMass's level. The game was close, but it was sloppy and won't cut it against better teams.

BC doesn't trap. It will be an entirely different game Monday.

I certainly hope so... hate watching BU play against trap style teams. They don't seem to know how to adjust to it well.

On a second note... I wish I had gotten a Tshirt last night now.

I thought you guys didn't wear tshirts? ;)

So.....

Say bu splits (or gets swept by) Lowell next week. Splits on the road at uvm. Then splits a tough series with nu...

Who is going to head up to Orono for the Hea first rd playoffs?!? I here southern Canada is great beginning of march :p

No way..
But say we lose out? Then if gladly make the trip to Lawler or conte for the 3-6 matchup!

Yesterday's loss to UMass hurts just a tad more with the HE results of tn :(

Question, how is BC ahead of BU in the HEA standings? BU won the season series, no? Wouldn't that be the tiebreaker since they have equal records?

Hockey East did it so your collapse won't look as bad as it really is.:p

Tiebreakers in HEA are for playoff seeding purposes only. Officially they are tied. There have been past seasons where there have been regular season co-champions.

This is actually what I thought it was, wasn't actually complaining about it. :-P Gimme a break, I was tired.

1 point out of 1st, 1 point out of 5th. Ironically, this team could be a #5 seed, not make the garden, and still squeak into the NCAA's. Just a weird year all around.Another weekend of many top ranked teams losing. Can anybody figure this thing out?

Its just that kind of year across the board. Every team has their share of issues. Is it normal at this point in the season for all of the top 10 teams in the PWR to have 7,8,9 and 10 losses?

I was noticing this, and many of the teams with the lowest number of losses also have loads of ties. Take Harvard, one of the lowest with 7 losses, but 10 ties! 7-7-10!
