Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

Seemed it was that the first-year strength and conditioning coach had moved on.

Haven't heard anything official to confirm, but given Skahan's previous NHL employer was the Ducks, who's most recent HC is the new HC for the Wild, one shouldn't be surprised by his landing spot if his return to the NHL is true.

New THFB article from Neal Boudette recalls @NickBonino 's 2009 heroics. BU was 24-0-3 in games when Bonino scored at least one point.

I'm glad he points out how dominant Bonino was at the end of that game, because it has always been something I felt went under-"noticed". He really did make some outstanding plays down the stretch, and I thought he should have been the MOP. But I'm sure in that situation, the default is that it goes to whoever scores the GWG.

Don't forget his sweet setup of Vinny Saponari in the SF game vs. Vermont.

BU home schedule released. Harvard on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving is back. Just three Hockey East home games during first semester. https://twitter.com/BUAthletics/status/740593252215214080

Good thing the team promises to be good, 'cause that would be a difficult schedule to market if they sucked.

15 games. 4 ECAC teams and Sacred Heart. Ooof.

BU Hockey: Not ****

????

Is this a different link than the one in Rogie's post?

I missed that his post had a link (it should be blue text board programmer dude! )

????And the schedule is the schedule. Are you not going to go because of it?

Touchy, touchy, touchy. :p Listen, if I can comment when the team plays a ****ty game, I can certainly comment when the home schedule is ****ty.

Well they sent the home schedule out, even though the email said it was the complete schedule.

18 total home games. 2 exhibitions... Canadian team and the U18 game (yuck). All Friday games are still at 7:30 (yuck).

I wonder when they will send out the away schedule?

7:30 Friday games are a godsend, getting anywhere by 7 in Boston on a Friday is absolutely impossible.

There will never be a schedule that will appease every BU fan. Just take solace in that there are no more 4pm Saturday home games...

7:30PM Friday night home games was the best move BU did in years. Or did you like seeing Agganis a quarter full at faceoff? Friday rush hour is a nightmare in winter in Boston.

Yeah, you're all wet on your Friday night 7:30 face-off ***** ericredaxe. Traffic-wise, it's the correct call.

Let's stick to *****ing about the quality of opponent and the 2 Tuesday night games against the smarties who also play hockey pretty well. :)

Re: Boston University off-season thread (preparing for 16/17).

7:30 is better than the 6:00 Friday games, or whatever those were last year.

This is true, those were disastrous. Though that wasn't BU's call, it was entirely TV-driven. Hopefully HE puts their foot down with ASN and nixes that for this year.
