Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

I didn't say he's been right on everything that has happened to the program since he started posting back in 2008, I said every thing that he has reported as a fact, he's been first, and right. Before today, he hadn't posted since April of last year.

Relax. I wasn't insulting what you said about 3hock. I happen to know who he is and he knows what he's talking about. I just said that was what hokydad was referring to.

Not mad, wasn't intended at you, more at hoky. I know you know who he is.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

heard rumor he got dressed and left the rink after the second, his decision not team's.... hope that was not the case

It's hoky's "everything comes in threes" third thing! Come true at last!

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

but maybe if a few (just a few... :) ) fans (excluding the students, obviously) would actually STAND and YELL once in awhile it might be nice, instead of sitting there as though they were half dead. Why bother to come if it's going to make you miss your daily nap? Geesh...

You were clearly nowhere near me on Saturday night.
Unfortunate for you.

If it doesn't have to do with his drink of choice at a bar or his *ahem* personality then the Freep probably isn't your best source.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

Don't know why the freep has nothing, theyve been a bit slow to the punch on a few stories this year.

I believe the freep folks have been floating out the general excuse for getting continually scooped as "we knew it when it was a rumor too but we are serious journalists and not some frivolous blogger (even though we have a blog too) that can post unsubstantiated rumors... ZOMG I can't believe Coyle lied to me, why would he lie? durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..."

Or something similar to that...

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

By the way, if anyone has any stories on whether or not Cisse gave pucks to kids while he was not playing, please email the freep. This is very important for the upcoming story! Thanks to claver for the reminder.

Yes, the kid who reported Clendening was leaving, right?

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

this thread never fails to make me laugh.

also, having met cisse before, I don't have a hard time believing that he would have left the bench. however, i also have a hard time believing parker wouldn't reprimand him for doing so...

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?

I think what hokydad is referring to is the fact that he and the BC hockey blogger were the first to report on Trivino and Coyle.

Hokydad's way of scooping things has been "I see dark clouds on the horizon," "the four horsemen of the apocalypse are coming," and then later "See, I told ya so."
Barely better than calling up Miss Cleo. It's obvious he hears things, but as a source he's useless.

2/3 ain't bad

First Coyle abandoning the team and now Cisse. The question is, will one of the proud BU journalists have the nuts to ask Jackie about why Cisse wasn't on the bench in the 3rd period. Probably not...

My God, you just can't let anything go, can you? This is your lame attempt at letting everyone know that you break news before this other poster? Talk about a self promoter. Let other people pat you on the back.

I believe they did, and he said Cisse was a healthy scratch who only dressed as a replacement in case a forward went down since they were platooning 5 D and keeping Rosen as a center. Supposedly, if a D went down, Rosen would move to D, and Cisse would enter as a forward. Why it was Cisse who was supposedly in this flux state and not Gilroy, I don't know.

Still doesn't answer why he was on the bench at the start of the game, but not for the third period.

BTW, I agree that Cisse needs a little spur in the behind. He glides through games and needs to get up to the speed of college hockey. I'd cut him a little slack because of the injuries that he has had to overcome. But he has a real physical presence, obvious skill, and could be a real force with a more consistent effort.
