Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

He could have broken the entire school's wrist and you BC fans would still say it never happened.
Who denied what?
I remember Gerbe breaking a BU wrist, a thumb, and the back of every player on the roster... with ONE SWING OF HIS STICK!
Gerbe is AWESOME!!!

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

Didn't Gerbe break Van Der Gulik's wrist in the HE championship game?

And my only problem with Gerbe is that he played his college hockey at the wrong end of Comm Ave

Is that the most ever for BU in one draft?

Certainly a lot of promise. See what pans out. Any of these young men a goaltender by chance?

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

As has been the case for many years, you guys always bring in talent. That's not the issue. The issue is cultivating that necessary team first environment.

Ok, who had JD in the 'First BC poster to bring up the team cohesion issue' pool?

You say it as if it's not a valid concern. You're right...forget I said anything. All is well at Agganis. Nothing to see here.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

Heh, not at all. We all know it is an issue. It was just sort of obvious it'd be posted on eventually. Maybe I should have included a :p with that?

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

No worries. I certainly don't begrudge any of you for being excited with the potential of all that talent (on paper)...I'd just be weary of the past.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

Oh please, given my posting history and liveblog comments I'm pretty far from one of those "head in the sand" fans. If anything, it's worrisome because it always seems the "talented teams" for us that find a way to implode while it's the "these kids are overachieving" teams that have the banner years.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012: Part The Sixth

I definitely am not going to put anything in the bank until he results start showing up. I do think this is probably the most guys BU has had drafted in one season. Someone had Privitera as a possible pick - would he have gone today, or is he a "supplementary draft" guy, whatever that means? I think that draft is on Sunday. Isn't that how Millan ws drafted?

Back to the general recruiting results, I do sense a bit of a shift in BU getting more local talent than they have in the past several years. I could be wrong, but it seems like the only guys we have landed in the past few years were "lifelong BU fans" - Warsofsky, Coyle, etc. With Kurker, Collier, Grizzy (don't call me a fanboy, I just have no clue how to spell his name) and others, it seems like a shift to me.

Um ya, I don't know anything about your posting history or liveblog comments and I didn't say you personally have your head in the sand. Harry Cleverly on the other hand...

You guys always have talented teams on paper...that's my main point. It's nothing new.
