Re: Boston University 2010 Offseason I - The Year after the Year after effect

there is way too much talk about attitude- Somewhere should be the recognition that there was not enought talent.
We had a lean recruiting year and had to acclerate two players whowould have been much better with another year.
Up front we really had 2 4th lines- 6 forwards who could contibute

The accelerations are a good point, but there was still a lot of talent on this team, just not nearly as much as last year.

I'll also agree with Agganis about my future. There's a 90% chance I'm gonna end up working at a bar/restaurant/liquor store during the week and covering college hockey for no pay on the weekends.

You give yourself too much credit:p Also I enjoyed the anonymous neg rep I got for joking around with someone I know in real life on here, good times. (Also FL check your FB inbox if you haven't gotten to it already, somewhat urgent)

Now my actual point of this post, I saw a handful of players (FANBOY!!!!) doing a little manual labor community service on campus today, during what had previously been a practice slot, assuming this is a team/coaching staff initiative and not something they were doing for another reason, this could be a interesting team building tool going forward.

Here at Ford Field, sitting behind the Wisconsin bench. Since these seats blow and I can't see the game, I've been trying to get Brett Bennett's attention. During a tv timeout he was facing this way so I waved pointed to my jacket and waved and he smiled. Hee!

Haha, glad he got some action. :p

Just responded to your fb message. I wasn't near a computer for the last couple hours.

Random neg reps are always fun. Not all that long ago I got one for responding to one of Nick P's posts with something along the lines of "BUT BC'S NOT IN BOSTON!!!11!!!11" Noobs.

Maybe it was community service for those TVs they stole?:p

If only you'd included some sort of symbol indicating that you were joking.

And for the record I think neither of them have a future in anything;)

Oh wait, what's that winky-looking thing at the end...

Ok, so I'm one of those snobs who doesn't like it when a team wins it's first championship. I like to think of it as an exclusive club that only has my teams in it...
I look left and see the NCAA banners on the curtain and realize BU has played a big role in the three interlopers (harvard, northern, and bgsu). Northern, of course, won the infamous 3ot classic over the amonte/mceachern/tkachuk terriers. Bgsu advanced in the NCAA tourney in one of those wonderful "2game total goals" series after BU won big the first night and let it somehow slip away. HU of course was only allowed to win after they first secured the beanpot in a game that Jack jokes was won with the help of Harvard MVP Peter Fish :p

Miami still hasn't realized how fast the igles are...

I'm OK with a program winning its first as long as they've been around for a while and been competitive for a while. These sorts of programs include UNH, Vermont, Miami, Notre Dame, Minnesota-Duluth and St. Cloud State. I'd be OK with any of them winning their first. I wouldn't really want Bemidji State or RIT to win, though.

Maybe we'll see a fight by a disgruntled mu team in the 3rd....

There is some truth indeed to this talent statement.

Okay, so I thought it would be fun to make my Facebook logo BC's opponent in each round of the NCAA's. So far, I've ripped through three logos. Is it time for the reverse jinx? Should I make my profile picture an Eagle? Please advise.

BU Hockey: At Least We Only Lose One Goal Games to These Guys

Colby Cohen named a first team All-American.

Great for him, and I don't really mean to be a jerk, but did they watch him, or did they just look at his stat line and go "Wow, he can score!" ??
