So, I'll take an 8 game winning streak starting next game, whenever that may be. Then we need to do less cipherin' and get to do more celebratin'.

Shouldn't that be "eight 1-game winning streaks"? :D

Hey, you can get a small cup of coffee from Starbucks for a buck fifty, or whatever they call that size. If you get too big though, it gets up to about tree fiddy.

I think they call small "Ginormous"

Get some good karma for BU by donating to Wade Megan's Children's Hospital of Boston fundraising campaign - http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/wade-megan/kids-cancer-buzz-off

His goal is only $250 - I'm sure y'all can put him way over by the end of the day.

This certainly does look legit, but just wanted to ask before donating if you'd spoken with him or someone on the team about this and he is in fact doing this.

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

Unfortunately, it seems like any time BU games for separate teams align to have the potential for a great weekend...they all fail miserably.

So here's my gloomy outlook for this weekend:

Men's hockey goes to game three and loses
Men's bball loses by 20 points in front of a crowd of about 1000
Women's hockey chokes and loses
Women's bball wins the game but all the other losses still make it a fail.

You could have said that about this weekend too, yet both hoops teams won a pair of must-wins and women's hockey went unpanalized by the committee despite a home playoff loss and injury concerns.

What are we specifically harkening back to anyways? Black Friday was in 2002.

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

You didn't, and I didn't mean to focus my whining on you. It's just that it seems like every time these discussions happen, what BU needs to have happen happens, and then BU doesn't do what they're supposed to do and it's all for nothing. It's like we're looking past the next games, and that needs to not happen.

Neither do I, however, that's why they call it a DISCUSSION board. I said from day one that we have to WIN the Hockey East Tournament to get in. Frankly, it's better to lose a game to Northeastern and then we only have to win the last one and then TWO in a row to get into the NCAAs instead of all the crazy talk last week of winning FIVE in a row (sweep Northeastern last weekend, sweep Northeastern THIS weekend, and then win the semi-final game to get to the finals), which was NEVER going to happen.

if we had swept northeastern last weekend we'd be playing UVM this coming weekend, but that's neither here nor there. in all truthfulness, arguing how many games BU needs to win in a row to get into the tourney is semantics, considering it has a lot to do with how other teams do as well. the only way to surely know if they'll get in or not, obviously, is to win HE.

This. Just win, baby, just win.

Quiet night here in possibly the last week of our seaosn huh?

In other non-important thinking...nice job by RPI getting knocked out in the ECAC playoffs...that's one down.

our pair with them is very flippable, weve already got the rpi, and our cop is not far behind, with northeastern being a cop. also our tuc is very, very close.

Point being...if BU can win, we don't have to worry about RPI getting anymore quality wins

Everyone is still trying to absorb the whole BU athletics schedule for the upcoming weekend... and that there is really no mens hockey game on Sat night.

Tell me about it, had to shift a lot of things around to be able to go Thursday night. Happy for the men's bouncyball team, but not an easy week to schedule around...

Yeah, unfortunatley this week Thrusday is going to be tough for me to schdule around too. We'll see... hope to make it.

If we win the bball game then your schedule will have been a worthy sacrifice to the gods in exchange for a ticket to the big dance!:D:D

Who knows, maybe the bball team is the only one to make NCAA's this year...who would have predicted that?

Can Chambers coach hockey?;)

I assume you mean the only one out of men's bball and men's hockey. Because women's hockey is already in NCAAs and women's basketball is playing in the conference championship Saturday with a chance to make the big dance.
