Are these new jersey designs? Not the throwback design but they do have the string collar.

BU ties it up but gives up a PP goal. 3-2 Badgers. Very physical first period. Periera had a partial breakaway in the last minute but had the puck roll off his stick before he took a shot. :(

Glad to get the win, but that third period was terrible. Even Connolly and Warsofsky were making bonehead plays trying to get he puck out. No idea what was going on with the late icing whistles, but UW got screwed out of 4 seconds there at the end.

I don't like it when Parker has the team go into a shell like that. Perhaps with Cisse out since the first period he was concerned about fatigue.

More thoughts tomorrow.

Agreed. Millan definitely stepped up though in the 3rd period; he was the difference (after a terrible first).

Hockey East as much as BU needed that win. Poor non-conference showing tonight otherwise.

So did everyone like seeing that final faceoff win by Coyle? And how about showing replays while play is going on? A D- grade for the production.

Agree with defkit on the third. It seemed like one long power play for Bucky. I tried to focus a bit on the other newcomers on defense and thought Ruikka and Noonan played well for the most part. Wisconsin's forecheck was a challenge for them. I was surprised to see Noonan on the power play and more surprised to see him play more than adequately there. Gill definitely belongs in a D1 lineup. Good on faceoffs and had some of those pretty 5-foot passes.

Hardly pretty but we'll take it.

It was the scoreboard feed but I agree. I also liked the part where I was supposed to make lots of noise.

Are those jerseys the 5th jersey or do the road jerseys just have a new neckline?

Only one more possible WCHA opponent on the schedule, huge COP boost with everyone else in that conference on day 1 of the season is nice.

That second period was great hockey, and 31 was in form for the entire 3rd period. No complaints from me.

Really? You think they created a 5th jersey with a different "neckline" the only difference. Really. Really? (To be said like Amy Poehler) :p

Nice win for the scarlet and white. I'm concerned about the D, but hopefully Millan will start putting entire games together soon. Oh, and I'm also concerned about the number of penalties. Though Bucky fans think the ref's gave the game to BU. *shrug*

Yeah, showing replays during live action got pretty annoying, especially in the last minute. The first and third goals of the game were not captured live for the same reason. And it's not like there wasn't time to show replays in between plays, when they kept showing the "breaking ice" logo.

I thought Noonan strguggled a little. He certainly got pasted a few times and will need the hot tub today. Welcome to College Hockey.

Tommy Ryan is already a huge Clendening fan. He did play very well, other than the first shift of the game.

To be fair the official boxscore shows that the game only took 1:44. :eek:
