Please. That Fidel Nicastro's been playing better hockey than him, especially when you consider he's a freshman.

What's happening with Cohen is the same thing that happened with Tom Morrow. He went from making 10 stupid plays a game costing the team 2 goals to 7 stupid plays costing the team 1 goal a game. Because of this, some idiots were out here saying he was a good defenseman. He wasn't, he was still awful, just less awful. Same thing here. I fail to see how Cohen's even playing better than Gryba - the difference is Gryba's play is the same, while Cohen's has gone from putrid Jeff Kealty levels to just run of the mill bad.

Well, I think you're being way too harsh/vastly over-exaggerating, but I guess we'll agree to disagree.

Biggest difference between Colby, Gryba, and Morrow? One has offensive ability. If Morrow ever made a mistake that gave up a goal his net goals for the day was automatically -1. If Colby does? He can tee one up from the high slot and make up for a mistake he made earlier.

Wow! Colby musta had a "McCain 2008" sign in his front yard.... :p

Yeah, I think it's gone from "he's the worst defenseman defensively" last year and therefore was easily noticed to this year where they're all screwing up and he's at least able to make up for mistakes by contributing offensively.

I can never warm up to him, no matter what he's done. Yes he scored the winning goal, but it wasn't exactly the most skillful way to do it so I attribute that one more to luck than him at times. He does tend to make stupid plays on the defensive end. He struggles keeping the puck in the zone and he rarely seems to bust his hump in recovering from a mistake that's going the other way.

I will say I love when he has a chance to clear it on the PK because it's the one defensive thing he seems to do well.

His inconsistencies haven't improved like Gryba's have over the years, so I have trouble warming up to his overall game.

That said, Shattenkirk is probably my favorite player on this team, and he has been underperforming as well but it doesn't make me dislike his game. I just think he needs to realize when he needs to step up as a captain and when he needs to play simple hockey.

If the scouting report didn't say he had an amazingly accurate hard slapshot, maybe Roeder doesn't dive down to block that, etc., etc. It was luck, but it was still predicated on skill. ;)

Warsofsky moves back on D tonight. So Rosen sits. No Chiasson, who has the flu.

Connolly, Bonino, Pereira
Cohen, Trivino, Saponari
Gaudet, Megan, Gilroy
Glass, Popko, Santana

Cohen-Shatty
Warsofsky-Gryba
Escobedo-Nicastro

Millan

Since his return, Bonino has not had the same linemates twice in a row. That can't be good.

Brian Kelley will be live blogging from the Bright Center. GoTerriers.com
The Boston Hockey Blog may not be able to live blog due to internet issues.

Well... There is no "1st line RW'er" to skate with him here. A collection of 3rd/4th liners it seems, we have. What to do, what to do?!?

Oh, absolutely. And he still took the shot which was huge, obviously.

Hmm, maybe I still resent the fact he was named MOP because one well-taken, well-timed shot that got blocked into the net, despite him having his usual weekend of defensive gaffes (minus one great play) and overall uninspiring play from a guy with a ton of talent.

Understandable, it should have been Bonino, but I think we're going around in a loop talking about that. ;) Gilroy and Shattenkirk also played like crap most of that game but when given their chances made up for it BIG time. It was fun.

As for tonight, need to show the same kind of effort as Saturday's game, which suffice it to say, has been difficult for this team. Go BU.

"Sophomore Chris Connolly capped one of the most thrilling games in recent history with an overtime winner to lead the Boston University men's ice hockey team to a 6-5 victory over Harvard on Tuesday evening at Bright Hockey Center. The Crimson took a 5-4 lead with 1:12 left in regulation on Conor Morrison's fourth goal of the contest, but senior Zach Cohen scored an extra-attacker goal with 19.5 ticks left to send the game into overtime."

.... off goterriers.com

uhhhmmm. i guess that game 13 games ago is not so recent?!?!?

not sure who else watched the game on the harvard webcast, but the announcers were pretty funny with all of morrison's goals. they asked after the last one, "what happened here? did BU not recruit morrison? is he taking out something on them?":p
