Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

What's up with Walsh? She has not been playing nor has she been dressing? Anyone know if she is injured

BC beats PC and moves up to 6th in the PWR. Clearly they started rolling more lines

another tight game with bc coming out the victor this time. like last friday's game against pc, bc significantly outshot pc and it was up to the pc goalie to keep them in the game. a very big victory and 2 points for bc as it keeps them as one of the top two leaders in HE and further distances them from others on the national seen that took it on the chin on friday; including Providence, Bemidji and Quinnipiac.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Congrats to BC taking 4 HE points this weekend while many others stumbled. After last week's game against PC when BC ran into a virtually unstoppable goaltender, lost and had to stew on it all week, the team did not disappoint this weekend. Losses by the likes of Bemidji, North Dakota, Providence, Princeton, Northeastern and Quinny all bode very well for BC from a national perspective at this point in the season.

Once again, the senior leadership provided by Schaus, Stack and Kurth proved to be the difference. With that said, it is remarkable how many great chances other BC players had to put the puck in the net this weekend; yet did not. This seems to be the difference between BC and other top teams, where other teams have multiple players that can capitalize on breakaways, point blank shots and open nets. Let's hope the others can begin to light the lamp before its too late. Go Eagles.

Thanks!

And she loves BC hockey... unfortunately she thinks women's hockey is a bit boring lol... The first game she went to was BC vs. QU a few years back. It was a real snoozer and turned her of to the game haha... but she tolerates my diehard support of the sport :p

Congrats Tony! You need to bring her to the opening round of this year's Women's Beanpot (the BC - BU game) to get her in the spirit!

Congratulations indeed. A wedding pic in front of that banner in the appartment would be a fitting one. (IIRC you had a banner in your appt).

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

BC secures another 4 points this weekend and in the process totally distances itself along with BU from the rest of the HE pack. With 2 wins out of 3 against PC and with PC having the home ice advantage in the series, no doubt that BC is clearly the better team. If it were not for an extraordinary effort from the PC goaltender coming up with 51 saves in the game PC won, BC would have swept the series.

Now BC needs to close out the HE season on a positive note. The Beanpot tournament sort of gets in the way as the team will be playing 5 games in just 8 days and 6 games in 11 days. So stamina and focus become a big part of the challenge. Skating away with 2 wins this weekend is a big step towards this strong finish (don't forget about last weekends 4 point sweep also) and should keep them in position to get a weekend of rest prior to competing in the HE tournament.

Congrats to the team and in particular Danielle Welsh who notched her first hat trick of her career and has exploded in recent weeks.

Go Eagles.

Completely off topic, but...

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dental licensing exams are less than 2 and 4 weeks away, respectively, and I'm still searching for patients who have small cavities (you usually can't see them yourself, they're on x-rays) and who have a certain amount of plaque and hard tartar buildup on their teeth. If you haven't had a cleaning in a while (more than a few months) and might be willing to come in to Tufts in Boston for a short (30 minute) screening involving a few x-rays and a short exam, please, please, please let me know. I can screen from 10-12, 2-4, or 5-7 Mondays through Fridays (Fridays we close at 4) - just leave your email address in a rep and I'll get in contact with you.

If you qualify for the exam and do sit for it, I'll also give you $100 cash. The filling or cleaning will be rendered free of charge.
