I see Poulin was at HE tournament supporting her team.....didn't see Carpenter
Carpenter wasn't there; she's probably protesting the fact that the games are in freaking Hyannis, like I am.I see Poulin was at HE tournament supporting her team.....didn't see Carpenter
Maybe she was busy making campus visits?Carpenter wasn't there; she's probably protesting the fact that the games are in freaking Hyannis, like I am.
SO here's a little random comment I've been holding in all season with regard to this thread, or more specifically, its' title.
TTT - maybe the whole begging thing isn't the right approach to the whole title thing

I'm pretty sure BC has a losing record in games I've gone to this year. I'm just trying to help! Not enough support from the Booster club and BU prevails again. May want to rethink the support strategy for next year.
Alex was honored by her town on Saturday.
Nice.
And I was not ribbing on Ms Carpenter, full admiration for the way that young lady plays the game. I was impressed the from the first time I saw her play with the USA U18 team quite a few years ago now it seems up near Ottawa. Hard to believe that she is still a teenager.
It probably didn't help that BC was live on HDTV for the first time ever. That was pretty cool.It makes sense as to why she wasn't at her teams game. I'm sure she wanted to be in both places.

So that is what happened?

Ms. Carpenter was otherwise engaged, at least Saturday.
NORTH READING, Mass. (WHDH) - Sochi Olympian Alex Carpenter received a hero’s welcome Saturday morning when she returned to her hometown of North Reading for the first time since the games.
Carpenter was one of the shining starts of the U.S. women’s hockey team. She scored four goals and led her team to the silver medal.
Dozens of people came out to Ipswich River Park to show their support on “Alex Carpenter Day.”
“This is unbelievable. You know, I love this town and it's pretty cool to see a community come together like this. I know they were with me when I was over in Sochi and cheering for us so it's pretty cool to come back to something like this,” Carpenter said.
Her father Bobby Carpenter, who played for the Bruins, said that going to the Olympics was always a possibility for Alex.
“It takes such a long time and all the training and we always had hopes and aspirations. I guess as long as it was her goal and her driven ability that she wanted to do it, we probably had no doubt that it would happen at one point,” he said.
Carpenter added that the proudest thing she wore in Sochi wasn’t the silver medal, but her jersey.
“any time you get to put on the USA jersey and represent your country it's pretty special,” Carpenter said.
Basically, although they are also undefeated with Joe is at the game... so we will have to hope that Joe's good juju continues to be stronger than my bad juju.As usual, TTT is a part of the problem, not a part of the solution.
Hey, not all of us choose to reduce our academic standards enough to attend Storrs Community College. She is such a class act it's hard to believe she goes to BC.
