i was bidding up until just over $1,000 - but hokydad was being a total jerk and kept upping the bid with under 10 seconds to go. i mentioned to nick p that he was like bonino (or 'bones' for bostoneww)

given his relatively instability, i couldnt chance a bidding war with him.

rather unique jersey to have. not sure if David will have the professional career that some others may have to enhance the value... but a neat one to have nonetheless.

I was heavily involved on kreider too; His went for $1,500. I'll have to look carlson's up --> $ 4,090.00 [pcalver]

holy crap

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

There would seem to be a difference between buying a jersey, and buying that jersey for the player in question. At least in the eyes of the NCAA I'd think.

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

yah i bid on them. how else would i know you won it? and i would do it again in a heartbeat. i still want the kreider one.

but unlike you, my intentions in bidding were never an ill-fated attempt to garner attention from the player(s) by presenting it as a gift

(its cool guys, i know him!!)

I dont agree but I get your point...

I quoted and clipped these because he has been for months talking weird perverted stuff when in fact he was on their "really wanting" and "heavily involved" in trying to pay over a thousand dollars for a jersey of someone he doesnt even know. What a phoney hypocrite. Than gets angry and attacks because he loses the auction? Talk about a joke.

Hurry, I think I saw an old Jonas Brothers t-shirt on Ebay. You can replace your Backstreet Boys one with it.. That wont work, the Olson twins biography special is on at 330

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

Poor little Steve didnt win the jerseys. He really, really wanted them.

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

That ones all yours

I know you really really wanted it

Don't get angry if someone else buys it

Phoney hypocrite

proven wrong where?

Never proven once

edont read it

I seem to remember you being a stalker of a certain BU player after a game and said they looked fine and was walking OK and would be playing next game. How well did that information turn out? Oh, right, you were wrong.

There are times where I think you are just a very elaborate troll, but they usually quit after a while. You just seem like a sad old man who has nothing better to do.

EDIT: Yep, nevermind, it was butterror. Meh. Oh well.

That wasn't hokydad. That was butterror.

With Smith and Price gone, who's going to play center next year? Apparently Arnold can play center, so there's one - which winger is gonna move? Atkinson? Almeida? Carey?

Talk about a stalker

You should stick to posting about favorite team chants or movie buffs. At least there you have an opinion with a little merit

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

I know this is the lamest summer topic ever, but I was just thinking about the lines for next year, wondering who will play center.

I am pretty sure Atkinson and Almeida have played center in the past for BC... while I'm disinclined to break up Atkinson-Gibbons-Whitney, it might be what we see to start the year:

Kreider-Gibbons-J.Whitney
S.Whitney-C.Atkinson-J.Hayes
K.Hayes-Mullane-Almeida
Carey-Arnold-Ferriero

?

That 4th line is better than 4th...

Ferriero is a sleeper with an attitude/edge and will score goals.

If he comes in ready to play, could add some fire. Might be most ready physically of the new class

Cody Ferriero (Essex, Mass.) of Governor’s Academy. Ferriero is another small but skilled forward who could be drafted in June, much like older brother Benn, who is in the San Joseorganization after a standout career at BC (drafted by Phoenix). The younger Ferriero is arguably this New Englandclass’s most talented player, but he needs improvement in his maturity and discipline, in the words of several scouts who acknowledged the upside, but have issues with his attitude

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

It's always tough to project where the freshmen will fit into the fold.

Is it safe to say Arnold will play center? or is he stronger on the wing? IIRC, he's described as more of a grinder type and could work well on a defensive-minded line

Good job Hockeydad,

USHR headline:

BC Recruit De-Commits -- Late

One of this year's recruits? How could someone decommit now, isn't it too late to go anywhere else (other than juniors)?

My guess is Brown or Arnold?
