Hayes and Whitney have been sent home from WJC camp. Heard Samuelson was struggling. Heard Way and Kreider are doing very well.
Bieto from BU cut as well

Not surprised about Hayes and Whitney. Good to hear Wey is doing well. No surprise on Kreider. Nieto getting cut is a surprise to me considering his USDNPT roots.

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

and that is why they sit in the stands and write on message boards.....

none of the pro guys have been shocked. Had 140 points in his carear, won a national championship, Beanpots, Hockey east championships, frozen 4 four straight years, played in title game 3 times, the most success any team had ever had in a 4 year stretch

Jerry York is not even remotely surprsied. Thats why he doesnt sit in the stands

He had 50 points in 58 games in the AHL, AFTER his injury was healed, whcih he played thru at BC his sr year without every complaining once. That you also wouldn't see sitting in the stands.

What does "thus far" mean? Your highly valued hockey eye sees something that they don't?

Hokydad, why does everything you write have to be so condescending? I wrote a very simple post and you come back with this. Just because people were surprised with his first pro season doesn't mean there aren't people who thought he could be a successful pro. It goes both ways. The bottom line is he was a 7th round draft pick who went unsigned by the team that drafted him. What does that tell you? Not everyone was on board with Benn Ferriero as an NHL prospect (especially after his disappointing senior season). If you think otherwise, it's just another case of you being wrong.

Do you enjoy coming across as a know it all?

"Thus far" means exactly what it is--through one season.

If you weren't such an incompetent blowhard, maybe people would actually enjoy talking about the game and players with you.

This coming from a guy who speaks for "ALL" . Even the "Thus far" comment is insinuating, more to follow...

"There's no question he has left a mark on the San Jose coaches, etc. thus far, but for the people who watched him for four years...

I'd say most if not all we're surprised at his rookie pro season last year"(Quote)

Wey did pretty well in Capitals rookie camp too. He had some adjustment issues early on last year and it was tough to gauge him with injury/sickness at the end of the year. He could be a very pleasant surprise on D and more than makeup for Sneep's departure. To be honest, I'm concerned that with a good year, he goes pro.

No surprise Kreider looks good. What is the word on Dumoulin?
