Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

Cam Atkinson & Cody Goloubef interview at Blue Jackets camp - http://bluejackets.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?catid=702&id=73546

Note - you will need to turn your speakers up a bit to hear Cam. Someone needs to explain to Davidge that if you are holding a mike for people you need to hold it at the same distance from mike to mouth for everyone so instead of it being far away from Cam, practically in Davidge's mouth so he's at screaming decibel level and at an in between distance for Cody. I really wasn't feeling cranky before watching, BUT it is worth watching so don't shut off after the first couple of questions due to the sound problem.

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

Looks like someone fell off the wagon last night?

Or the 6 month ban finally expired.

Neither, I usually don't come here during the off season, but it had been so cold lately I hadn't been able to go to the beach. What's a boy to do if he can't go get his tan on while getting shwasted on the lake?

I also came into a considerable amount of money lately and have decided to forgo working for a few years in order to find myself. You know, I'm just going to travel America drinking and picking up girls. Without the bother of working 40 a week, I have time to drink a few extra 40s

Has BC released any info whatsoever about what night the banner is going up, and who the opponent will be that night?

It appears it will be against Merrimack. On Mack's schedule right now it says the 30th, but since the football game against Clemson is that day, the home and home series will probably be flipped so the banner gets raised on the 29th. Not exactly the most exciting opener...

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

Send an email to the hockey front office people requesting that we swap our first away game date with Northeastern with our first home date. I'd much rather open with NU than Mack.

Re: Boston College Offseason Thread: Basking in the glow.. again

The only problem with that is that NU would much rather open with BC than... pretty much anyone else. That way they can 'shockingly upset' us at Matthews for like the 12th time in a row, all the psychos can throw their empty whiskey nips onto the ice in celebration, and all the freshmen get thrown into their first Hockey Riot right in the first weekend. Then everyone gets their hopes up again, which will be fed continually until around mid-January when the season takes an irreversible turn for the worse. :p

I'm 100% certain they'll swap the Merrimack games, but i'd give it a less than 1% chance we'd swap games with NU. Unless Northeastern really really loves us and cares about our banner night. Haha

What's wrong with having Merrimack (or someone else who is available) come here on the 8th? I'd rather see the banner raising earlier in the month rather than later (especially since my hubby and I will be away that week  ;) )

On the development camp front, the Hayes brothers are having a great camp. Jimmy was player of the game again today with 2 goals and one assist in a 5 -3 win and little brother Kevin scored a beauty to win yesterdays game in a shootout, 3-2

Here is the link to his GWG

Heard Kreider killed it at Rangers camp and that Gibbons got an invite to Pitts camp

Interesting. Haven't followed anyone except for Cross in the Bruins camp and he also has done quite well. Still a mystery why he didn't do the conditioning stuff and had a 'visible limp' in the first day or two yet looked great on the ice.

That kid can't buy a break....
Heard he did very well at camp and is back in B's long term plans. Good for him.
Atkinson shined as well
Samuelson next week at Pitt, Dumoulin and others out there as well.

Did he win?
Well, he had the upper hand initially and got a few good shots in, but the last punch he took (really the only punch he took directly) cut him under the eye and ended the fight.
