Congrats to Cory Schneider...first career shutout tonight. He's 12-3-2 this year, not too shabby

No idea if you're kidding or not, but I'll never call anyone who "blows off" a women's hockey game a bad fan. It's just entirely different. Sorry.
I truly hope you are being sarcastic.
Wow... touchy.

And I'm not being sarcastic. Slightly hyperbolic, but not sarcastic.
Congrats to the Lady Eagles, hope they do well. How did they end up hosting? And what if that game goes multiple OTs on Saturday?
We ended up hosting because the committee made some wild decisions with the seeding to avoid travel. Our conference championship and very strong TUC record were the top 2 other reasons, really.

And if the game goes multiple OTs, I will have heart palpitations. With regard to the men's game, it would have to go to 4 OT to affect anything. The women's game starts at 1pm. Without OT it will end at 3pm. At the end of 3 OTs it would be roughly 5:15.

How's this for a bad-fan-switcheroo? I'm going to the women's game but can't make the men's game.

I don't think that makes you a bad fan...much like me not caring enough to go to the women's game doesn't make me a bad fan.

I will just say that the women's game will be way more entertaining than our 10th straight against UMass :p

More power to you. I just think it's an entirely different game...

Did BC lose to Minnesota the last time they made the tourney?

Per the Hub website; see 4th paragraph re Alber

Wasn't late December. It was six weeks from time broken. Have no idea where she got that. I guess it is possible he had more work done on it at that point, but not the break itself.

Edited to add: Just remembered the info that it was broken was released late December. She probably assumed it was released right after it happened.

Re: the bad fan thing - If you are a Boston College fan as opposed to a Boston College men's hockey fan, I agree you are a bad Boston College fan if you don't go to an NCAA quarterfinal game hosted on your own campus. It doesn't make you a bad BC men's hockey fan though. Personally I am a BC men's and women's hockey fan. I couldn't give a flip about how your other teams do unless I think it impacts hockey (this means I frequently want your other teams to lose). That does not make me a bad BC hockey fan.

We'll agree to disagree here.

Not that it is likely to happen but since BC is guaranteed to make it to the NCAA's anyways if UVM should meet them in the tourney maybe they could find their way to ummm, let a goal or two slip by. You know so we have a banner to raise in October.

Good luck to the BC boys. Congrats on the Regular season Title

Anything associated with BC was good this weekend.
Hockey team sweeps UNH;
Lady Eagles win over NU;
Mens basketball trying to make the NCAA Tournament run over Wake Forest and play them again in the ACC Tournament on Thursday;
Anybody know how the Ladies in basketball doing?
Geez even BC High wins over Needham, they play next at Merrimack on Wednesday in the Super Eight Tournament.

Any of you going to the men's game on Saturday who is blowing off the women's game: You are a bad fan.

Yeah, I said it.

Congrats to the BC women and I recommend starting a BC women's thread. That sport is a completely different game altogether, so discussing on here is worthless. With their own thread, they will attract their supporters and supporters of women's hockey. Begging people to attend a game they are not interested in on this board is a waste of time.

For those of you that weren't at the game on Friday or missed the third period intro, Eagle Marketing just posted their new third period intro video.

You can watch it here.

It seems like they have really gotten their act together with their marketing and other game day experience material, so well done!

I'll expect about 6k bad fans to file in Saturday night then.

Honestly very tough for many to make it to Conte in the afternoon, go home & come back for 7 pm -especially for a sport most are ambivalent towards.

Wow, Kenny bringing the thunder...I like it. While I wouldn't have worded it like you, I agree with your overall point. The biggest thing to me is it's an entirely different game and I don't find it entertaining. If other people do, fine. In any event, go Eagles.

This too. On your other point, you really expect 6k Saturday night? That would be awesome.

I'd love to go and I still might but if I do that kills my whole day. I won't get a few things done that I'd like to and I'd probably go by myself and either go back for the wife and kid and just to turn right back around to BC (who wants to do that with the gas prices?) or have the wife and kid meet me there for the men's game and waste more gas that way.

BTW, that video was phenomenal. Props to Vinny on that one. Gasson being in these vids is the key to it all. Love it.

Are they charging for the women's game? If yes, how much are they charging? I know usually a regular season game is no charge.

With gas going up, that's 2 expensive trips but I might go see the Lady Eagles play anyway for support.

I expect UMass fans to show up in bunches if BC fans don't fill up the rink.
