I do I was using a PDA and it seemed the easiest way to go. Love your BC loyalty even if it appears blind at times. Best of luck, but I think BU has the better squad this year!

The score may have only been 3-1, but this was was never in doubt. Pure and utter domination from beginning to end. It was like the BC men's team was out there; BU's power plays were merely opportunities for BC to show off their speed with a *ton* of odd-man rushes while BU had the man advantage.
Satisfying to see the better team win this time.

TTT - I sort of chuckled at some of your prior posts, but you were dead on regarding your prognosis. If it were anyone but Sperry in goal for BU the score would have been double digits for BC. Good to see BC dominate and get the win this time. Recognize that BU was shorthanded on several fronts due to injury, but the win was well earned. Now a little time off before back to backs with Northeastern. I'll be up for both games and looking forward to the rematch of the HE final participants from last year.

Somehow I always feel really good after watching a BC/NU game, either men's or women's. NU has such classy programs that always play us tough and honest. Really good, tough, hard, solid hockey. The kind of games the winner really has to earn.
It's a nice change of pace after our last couple games.

Missed watching the game last evening, but great to see the BC victory. Scoring from multiple lines, solid defense and apparantly solid goaltending to turn away 40 shots. Seems like a solid team effort recognizing the team was not even at full strength. Hoping the outcome is similar tonight as NU can be pesky.

Four solid Hockey East points for BC this weekend and significantly setting back Northeastern's plans for HE dominance. BC will still play NU at least twice more (HE & Beanpot), so the Eagles will have to be wary of a let down in each instance. It seemed to me from Friday's game, that BC was just too fast all around for NU. The shots on goal for BC nearly doubled NU and the scoring opportunities were equally tilted. Once again, balanced scoring and contributions from all BC offensive and defensive lines made it difficult for NU to get much going. When BC plays in this manner, it is tough for most teams (I stress most as there are a few out there that are equally as tough) to knock them off their game. A few non HE games over the few weeks for the Eagles, so hope everyone enjoys some hockey and their holiday.

Sorry, did not mean to imply the Beanpot was associated with HE. I did mean that BC and NU will play each other at least two more times and each game will have meaning; so hoping there are no BC let downs.

probably not the wrong thread as it should serve as a reminder to the Eagles that the game is a total of 60 minutes. must admit that i've seen thousands of games in my life and never saw an ending like last night where things went from good to bad to very good to disaster all within the final 1 minute. If you get the chance to see the tape, you'll see BC ahead by one and then they take a penalty with 2 minutes to go. BC doing a good job of killing the penalty. Quinny pulls their goalie and now put pressure on BC and with about 20 seconds remaining, Boyles makes the save of a lifetime to keep BC ahead. In addition, a Quinny player is whistled for being in the crease, so with just 22 seconds left the face off comes outside the zone. As a BC fan you think things are looking pretty good. Apparantly so did the players as off of the faceoff, Quinny marches right through the BC players without much resistance and scores with 10 seconds left to tie the game. This is just the beginning of the disaster as early in OT, Quinny steals the puck from BC and through a scrum in front of the BC net they score the winning goal.

since the last bc posting on this board, bc has gone 4 - 0 with single wins over princeton, brown and two this weekend from maine (at maine). not all of the wins are pretty, but the team continues to outplay and outshoot their opponents by a fairly wide margin; yesterday by 2 to 1 and today by nearly 3 to 1. although continuing to put the puck in the net more adeptly, the team has been able to post the needed victories. coach king (i forget her married name) is still messing with the lines. does not seem she has found the combination for lines, but kinger has been masterful in past years of experimenting with the lines in the first half of the year and then really finalizing a top 2 lines with a third line for checking. big weekend against mercyhurst coming up that should further test the eagles. 12 wins thus far is more than i expected so a good first half of the year. second half should be equally as successful assuming no major injuries.

Don't get too ahead of yourself just yet!!! BC is only in 1st place by virtue of alphabet, as they niether lead NU in the GF or GA departments!!! Relax and see what the 2nd half of the season brings my friend..... Sit back and enjoy the Huntington Hounds Return to Their Days of Glory!!!!
