BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Hopefully we hang it next to our 5 Hobey Baker banners that are the same size as our National Champions banners…… oh wait, that’s Agganis
It must be tough when the highlight of your season is watching your arch rival lose the last game of the year. Must feel better as you wipe away the tears. Disappointing season on both ends of Comm Ave.

WEEI has a “Hagens Watch” going on their social media.

Super excited to see him in the black and gold (whenever that happens)
I wish James Hagens well whatever he decides to do (most likely go) but he is not the second coming of Bergeron, he is an excellent college hockey player but he is not going to turn the Bruins into a Cup contender, at least not this year.

How on earth does that happen with all of the skill on this team? UConn is good defensively, but to hold BC without a shot for that length of time is astounding.

I'm headed into the Bruins game on Tuesday. Will I see Hagens in Black and Gold?
UConn isn’t just good defensively, they relentlessly pressure the puck in all three zones. Tough to get shots when you’re playing defense or constantly shedding checkers.

Cav has done an unbelievable job at UConn. I guess there was a method to the madness of turning down BC 4 years ago. He’s got this club playing as a team and playing their tails off every night.

It was hilarious (and sad) to see Bruins fans over social media pissed that BC didn't lose to Maine and "cost them the playoffs" as if Hagens is going to help this team make the playoffs.

Hagens, like this entire team, didn't do much 5 on 5, where BC was outscored 4-1 last night. The Bruins are already 8th best PP in the league. One of the dumbest fanbases in the NHL and that's saying something.

While we're on the topic, it was shocking to see Conmy delay the inevitable with his THIRD even strength goal of the with season with an actual goaltender in net.

I feel bad for Dean. What a remarkable season and effort he put in to get himself a great sophomore season.

Agree is spades on Dean. Had a difficult freshman year, but his game grew exponentially this year. A year older, obviously MUCH stronger, it is apparent that he put in the work. Hope for you guys he stays at least one more year. He'll be a beast next year.
And thanks for the kind words about Merrimack.

It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season. The whole fire GB is goofy, BC was in almost every game, they play in a very tough competitive league, ask Carvel whose team was beaten by the 8th seeded team last night, or Cav whose team had one full win in their last 6 regular season games.
There is parity in the league. Merry Mack could very well win the whole thing tonight. I prefer UCONN, because they have a senior group of leaders and play a heavy hard nosed game and they didn't pack it in when they were losing at the end of the season. I also like Cav, they came close last year in the finals, I hope they win this year. Anyway props to all the four year players, enjoyed watching them develop, respect the effort and the commitment. Time to put the sticks away and get out the clubs. Hockey season is six months away. Can't wait.

It’s a joke donkey- though I see my wink emoji was omitted.

Neither of these teams is worth crying over this year. 🤮

I get he isn’t going to be the next Bergeron (who would be) but from what I have seen (admittedly not that many games) I think he can have an impact… and it seems the Bruins are high on him.

With that said - do you think that he (and dean) were put in an awkward situation with the possible media hype/ dynamic of local college player in line to step up to the home team Bruins?

You guys freaking did it!!
What an incredible run taking down the #1, #2, and #3 seeds! Lundgren played out of his mind the entire weekend. I nearly lost my mind when Lalonde gagged on the open net with about 1 minute left. UConn pressed hard the entire game, but Lundgren just kept coming up big.
They'll be the #15 seed, but who cares, they're in.

Merrimack College: 2026 Hockey East Champs! Not something I ever thought I'd see this year (or maybe ANY year!)

Cab never turned BC down. He would take the job tomorrow if offered.

Congrats to you guys! What a great story.

He’s not ready. We’ll see. Not strong enough. 29 more ready than Hagens.
Certainly not going to compare him to eichel or macklin…. But zegras and Keller both went after one year where they were not as impressive as hagens 🤔
Mookie can see him sitting down with Sweeney and saying “I know I am ready… but tell me what you think.”
Would the don tell him to go back to school?
Did the nhl and nhlpa change that rule with rights being held through 3 years, but then if the player doesn’t sign he can be a fa? Being drafted after his freshman year that would get him through his sr season. Could allow him to win back to back Hobey bakers, then go sign with his hometown islanders 💁🏾
But that may have all been changed…mookie isn’t sure
