BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Certainly not going to compare him to eichel or macklin…. But zegras and Keller both went after one year where they were not as impressive as hagens 🤔
Mookie can see him sitting down with Sweeney and saying “I know I am ready… but tell me what you think.”
Would the don tell him to go back to school?
Did the nhl and nhlpa change that rule with rights being held through 3 years, but then if the player doesn’t sign he can be a fa? Being drafted after his freshman year that would get him through his sr season. Could allow him to win back to back Hobey bakers, then go sign with his hometown islanders 💁🏾
But that may have all been changed…mookie isn’t sure
hagens has been very good but there were 4 better on this team 2 years ago, a lot better and only cutter lightingit up. How many BC (bc) players have been better than this kid with less acclaim in the last 25 years? LOTS. Definitely not as good as we thought. Needs to stay but prolly wont. 😎

Hagens slid to 7th for a reason. Bruins fans are mongos (at last the online crew) and think they got a steal for a kid that was #1 overall in the rankings a year prior to the draft and that he's the key to this year's playoff push lol. He may develop into a monster and be a draft bargain long-term but he's not even close to there yet. As Sterlippo states, if we rank the guys that came through BC in the last 25 years, he'd have many many many players on top of him on the list and we'd basically just remember, "oh yea, the wraparound goal against Bentley where Leonard had a MONSTER shift" (seriously go back and watch him on that shift it's incredible).

I think he had a good season and increased production without Leonard and Perreault which is encouraging. I'd have to really dig through box scores on the assist side of things but I think he feasted on the PP like some other guys. 5-on-5 was kind of meh especially down the stretch. Nice point total but didn't dominate in any sense. It is what it is.

As far as the Bruins go for this year, Reichel was just brought up and scored a goal in his first game and drew a penalty shot yesterday. He's another first rounder, he's a left shot like Hagens, but he is 23 and has 190 games of NHL experience. That complicates things a lot for those in Hagens' camp as of right now.
