BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Some very valid points, the Resendes penalty was bad, maybe top 10 but I have seen worse (McGinnis in the Beanpot against BU while on PP, in the offensive zone, ( interference) BC was leading in the third period and lost the game. Brainless. LC has been sketchy at best but overall the low compete level throughout the line up and the absence of goal scoring when at full strength has been pointed out by other posters. Saturday Rado was beaten to the puck for what would have been an icing by Hyracovian, he got a shot off big rebound and the trailer puts in the back of the net for the game winner. Rado is one of the most improved defensemen over the course of the year but that was just totally unacceptable. Props to Hyracovian but ....... Scoring woes in part are related to net front presence, there are three big guys, Gasseau Hemming and Latourneau, I am sure they have been told to get to the front of the net but so far it is not happening enough. It is the way you beat high end goalies like Hrabal and Zacker. Stiga, Moore, Sondreal, Hemming all need to show up for the their 25 minutes on the ice. Stiga is the biggest puzzle to me. High end player with terrific skills and presence on the ice but nothing comes of it. College hockey today doesn't lend itself to building a team, the high end players stay one or two years and then they are gone. (BU this year is another example) The whole draft thing is a little crazy, yes the 1st and 2nd rounders are likely to play in the bigs but after the 3rd round the percentage of players getting there drops off dramatically. Pro hockey has taken over the college game and it is not for the better. Everyone associated with the program needs do better and not dressing the slackers would be a good start but it is a little late this year. Besides Minnetian, Hagens and Gustaffson there isn't consistent leadership. Again where is Stiga ? It seems the formula for winning against BC is to shut down Hagens, stay out of the box and score first. They peaked at the BU week end and the Beanpot, props for winning that, but that was the end of trophy season. Some serious failures all around and this is one of the most disappointing seasons in a long time. However this is the start of the "put the sticks away season" and while is it hard to take the other team's sticks away they need to do it on Friday night. I think they will,
