Re: Boston College '12-'13: Gaudreaubey Baker

oh, and Happy Thanksgiving to all. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for

not sure what being in the ACC means in terms of filling the arena. you know how it works, if the product is good, they will come. same deal at just about every school and in just about every city, college or pros

That was just a jestful jab at JD who posted a similarly dumb comment in the BU thread.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Eagles out there. :)

Right back at you and very well said.

Boys need to bring their "A" game and "Hammer" mentality on Saturday afternoon.

Re: Boston College '12-'13: Gaudreaubey Baker

No, see, eric...again, I did not start this even on the BU thread.

Re: Boston College '12-'13: Gaudreaubey Baker

Very good, mookie. That was a response to someone else...

Bates has a tall order to fill with the mess GDF left behind.

So with UNH blowing a 4 goal lead last night (LOL) and Denver losing to Yale (WOO!), tonight's game is #1 vs. #2 in the Pairwise. Never saw that coming before the season...

It was brutal to watch, never thought the game was in doubt until they scored with 3:30 left to get within 1. I guess DeSmith is human after all. Gave up more goals (4) in the last 30 minutes of that game than the previous six games (3), pretty insane.

I'd so with GAG over LOL (LOL is not allowed once you graduate college ;) ) Good luck tonight, I hope Dartmouth gives you guys a game, but I have a feeling that it won't be that close...

I gotta be honest, I was really impressed with Dartmouth.

Gaudreau had 5 points and got stuffed on two breakaways. It's really not even fair to the other teams that this kid is on the ice.

BC now 29-1 in their last 30.

I was also impressed with Dartmouth, particularly in the first period. They were all over us at times. I'd have to see how their d/goaltending does against ECAC competition, but they should be able to score some goals. They've had some good teams in the past but seem to always fall just short of the NCAAs.

Always nice to hear when someone else finds the team impressive as I know I can't look at the team in an objective manner. I was able to watch the game online and can't really complain about the way they played today and thought we came out hard and matched up reasonably well with your team as far as speed, physicality and even depth goes but very apparently failed to deal with your high end scoring talent effectively. Admittedly up to this point they haven't played anyone with anything near the offensive firepower your team has and honestly probably won't again unless they make it into the tournament. If a couple more plays had gone Dartmouth's way perhaps we could have come away with a tie or even a victory but on the other side of the coin your team also could have easily tallied a couple more goals and I thought Grant did a solid job in goal, making a number of great saves and on 4 of the 5 goals didn't really have much of a shot as the defense seriously struggled at times.

Overall an enjoyable game to watch. Good luck the rest of the way.

nearly 7600, well done!

Huge weekend coming up, looks like Saturday night is already sold out.

Re: Boston College '12-'13: Gaudreaubey Baker

Good win for the Eagles. Getting the 2 goal cushion in the 2nd was nice because Dartmouth is one of those teams you don't want hanging around or they will hurt you. Then the Green scores 2 late in the 2nd to tie it.
Gaudreau-Mullane-Whitney... what can you say except they are quite incredible to watch. Mullane gets the game winner 18 seconds into the third, then a few minutes later the trio click on one of the prettiest tic-tac-toe passing clinics of the year.

Johnny G missed on not one, but two all alone breakaways.

Parker Milner is the rock this team is built on.

Re: Boston College '12-'13: Gaudreaubey Baker

The BU game is going to be an impossible ticket. Hope everyone already has theirs.

I bought when they were available knowing that this game and the next one at home could be the ones to tie or break the record, and maybe both. But you know, it's always hard against BU no matter the records, and sweeping a team is rarely done regarding these 2 teams. I'm not thinking sweep but at least win one of these to tie the record against our arch rivals.

BTW, nice to see the baskets full on toy donations. Unfortunately, someone behind me took my signed team picture by Parker when I wasn't looking in my seat. They were giving these at Pikes when you gave them toys. I have a feeling one of the kids sitting behind me swiped it from my jacket. LOL I guess that's the Xmas Spirit spreading. LOL

29-1 in last 30 is hard to fathom, really, in the current landscape of college hockey
