1972 recedes further into the rear-view mirror for anguished BU fans, who realize that BC's incoming recruits will bury their beloved doggies into 'below-the-fold' status for years. You have to go back to the mid-1970s to find a similar stretch of time where BU was as good as BC is now. BU's dominance back then is something only Alex Trebek cares about when trying to stump contestants on Jeopardy.

Sad days indeed for the Alston Terriers.

“I thought we hung in pretty well against the No. 1 team in the nation,” Parker said, adding that BC is the best team he’s seen thus far this season.

is this an attempt to insult or belittle them? only being able to go back 3 years during which they've won TWO national titles (and 2009 was coming OFF another?). :rolleyes:

Man, you guys looked good last night. How lucky you are to have Jim Montgomery coached Gaudreau and Matheson. Obviously he did a great job with them. ;)

I do agree with something he said. This is the most beatable team since 2008-2009. I just dont think that means anything considering the only team in that span that didnt win it all was still a wagon.

It is most certainly different than the other recent teams. We haven't had a season where there are only 2 main scoring lines since 08/09 (despite we won in 07/08 with only 2)

One thing I liked yesterday, there was a face-off in the BU end, to the left of the goalie and Nieto was continuing to complain and was pointing to something he thought was wrong. All of a sudden, Mullane had had enough and whacked Nieto's stick. That's something you love seeing out of your captain. And the ref didn't even throw Mullane out of the draw, which I was surprised about.

They're beatable, just not by BU last night. :D

Be happy the 40% powerplay entering the weekend didn't click at EggAnus or your Terriers would have lost by a lot more.

Congrats on a solid win. Interesting game with pretty low shot totals through 2. I thought the game was pretty even in terms of territorial advantage. Whille BU ended up with more shots, BC has the better quality opportunities, at least in the first couple periods. Matheson is smooth. I can see why he was a first rounder.

Well, if form holds true, BU will win at Conte, and you guys will win again at Agganis.

Pet peeve: those jersey back names are not readable - bigger font please.

do you think bu has ever had a home game where they trailed for more than 59:17 like last night? You should consider yourself lucky that you were there to witness it. History won't remember that the tears in your eyes caused you to miss most of it

Always fun to wander into enemy territory :) Look forward to the rematch on Nov. 30th at HAA. I wish the beer line don't take all day (period) to get one. If it were a bar, they would make no money. Don't know why the vender farts around so long in getting the glass full, take the money and quickly move to the next customer. I wasn't even that deep in the line but it just took forever to sell beer from customer to customer.

This was an issue with our Under Armour football jerseys too, back when we had a football team. Pretty annoying. The numbers are nice but the font is definitely too small.

That said, overall, the away Under Armour jerseys have grown on me (though I still wish the stripes went all the way around the bottom). The home whites are still awful.
