It's not a flaw, it's acknowledging reality that something unforeseen and unknowable could occur between now and election day that cannot be accurately modeled, leading to uncertainty. As election day gets closer, there is less time for that to happen.
Biden's plane could crash. Trump could stroke out. There could be a terrorist attack. The entire pacific northwest could burn to the ground. Who knows? That's the point.

She explains it better than I can...I made her criticism sound deeper than it is.
The reason Wang and others got dragged was they ignored trends going into the final weeks from what i read. Nate got plenty criticized as well but more because he had been deified leading up to November.
I've been told it's not very sporting to appoint a Justice during an election year....

They’ll have hearings by next week.
If they do, they better hold the Senate because the Dems will have all the cover they need to do whatever the fark they want, including packing the Court.
I mean...shouldnt the seat HAVE to go to a liberal? I mean they HAD to replace Scalia with a conservative they said...
uno I will take it one step further...if they actually hold hearings and ram it through it will cost them the Senate. In fact it would be stupid...what better way to motivate people to vote than to put it all on the line again like they did in 2016. If they go stupid on this I would bet money they get crushed in November and 2021 will make FDR's government look downright Centrist.

The Court doesn’t have to be nine seats.Would they care? It's not like the appointment could be rescinded. They'd have a court majority for decades. That may be worth losing the Senate for a bit
