First allow me to defend myself before I am eaten alive here. I am very frustrated with the current state of affairs in this country. I do not like Trump and I did not vote for him.
I like Klobuchar....so what? My mere opinion offended you? She was my choice, big deal.
My post was not intended to be viewed as being troll. I do apologize if that's what you thought. As far as Joe, he is not of sound mind to be running for President. Trump is a narcissist, egotistical lying sob.
I guess I should've posted something stating why can't we find younger candidates to run for President?
I hope this clears up matters.
Kepler- I'm no doorknob either.
I tend to trust Pelosi's political instincts, but I hope the Ds don't lose the PR battle in these relief negotiations. There aren't a lot of things that could blow this election, IMO, but getting beat at this game certainly would not help.
With Trump in Ohio, Governor DeWine tested positive for Covid-19. Now that he's gone, turns out it was a false positive.
I hate the new forum enough that I don't check it very often anymore. It doesn't even work on my phone, just pops a series of ads. But I miss the banter. If you guys decide to move over to reddit let me know, you could probably recruit a bunch of people from r/collegehockey to join a new r/uschopoliticsI'd like to see this place grow not die on the vine like it has been.
At this stage in the game I cannot believe there are any people who are planning to vote who are actually undecided. I never believed the numbers of undecideds anyway. I always think they are over-reported.
Barring some scandal tied to prominent democrats (pizza-gate turning out to be real) I cannot see anything the leadership among democrats doing as blowing this election. I think an attorney general-led corruption investigation of Biden and his family isn't even likely to have the same impact the Comey shenanigans had on turnout for Clinton in 2016. People who are going to bother to vote are wise to what has been going on with this president.
My only real concern is voter suppression and intimidation and fraudulent counting in republican areas of swing states. I believe that is the only arrow trump has left in his quiver. In fact, I do not believe a trump win will be legitimate.
I tend to agree the vast majority of people are decided. But the margin of "gettables" that may be critical to this outcome is very small, so everything counts. Suppression is a big issue, but so is voter turnout not affected by suppression.

I suspect many of those currently polling as "undecided" are already planning to vote Trump and are intentionally answering otherwise when asked.
Undecideds tend to break for the incumbent on Election Day anyway.
Which is why one of the good signs is that Biden hovers around 50% in the polls. Hillary was always leading 45-42 or 47-44. That always leaves room for the other guy to jump ahead. But if you're up 49-42 or 50-45, there is much less room for the undecideds to swing against you.
While I cant stand reddit (the layout of threads kind of annoys me) we should find somewhere else to go. It is obvious the people in charge dont want us here anymore and watching it die a slow death is just sad. We should look into it. Hell I will even kick in some money.
I am going to look into it.
Man, the GOP is really upset that if a Democrat gets into the White House, they might lower the abortion rate another 20-30% like they did under the last two Democratic administrations, causing the GOP to lose a good wedge issue and money-raiser for them. It's in their best interest for the Republicans to stay in the White House and keep the abortion rate unchanged like they did in their last three administrations, so that they can continue to use it to distract from their failures and mistakes elsewhere.
Same ****, different cycle.
Step 1: "They're comin' fer yer gunz! Stock up now and vote Republican!"
Step 2: A Dem is elected, does nothing of consequence to restrict firearms even when they're in full control of both branches
Step 3: Repeat Step 1 and profit until a Republican is elected
Step 4: Take the money and run, lay low for 4 years, go back to Step 1
