Biden v Dump 1: If not now, when? If not us, who?

Yep. Evidently he admitted he was bipolar in 2018, refused to take meds because "they change me" (well, um, yeah), then in 2019 claimed he had been misdiagnosed and just needed sleep.

He's not a mentally healthy person. It's sad.
In the words of Pete Davidson: “Take em. Ain’t no shame in the medicine game.”

Also, as a bipolar person myself, I hate it when people blame the bipolar instead of the person themselves. I get that bipolar can make you make dumb decisions, been there done that, but ultimately you still have to accept responsibility for them. If you can’t, you don’t deserve to be out in public.

Good lord, Quinnipiac now has Biden +15.

Among independents he's up 51-34, +14 net from last month.

Trump's Republican approval has dropped -10 from June.

I like going through some of the other questions.

Such as:
37% say he cares about the average American
35% say he has good leadership skills
31% say he's honest
30% say he's been truthful about the coronavirus

So 6% think that he lies, but cares.
4% think that he lies, but that is good leadership.
And apparently like ten people in this survey think he's honest, just not about COVID.

Those numbers are worthless because obviously Quinnipiac is ignoring the Trump Voter!

Clearly Trump lies to us because he cares about us. Protecting us from the truth, so benevolent.

The Economist election forecast has moved both Arizona and North Carolina from toss up states to likely Biden states. Their polling for Ohio and Georgia also show Biden with small leads, as does the 538.com aggregate. Winning the states the polls show him leading today would lead to about 370 EC votes. Carrying that many states almost surely would mean either a highly depressed republican turnout or a huge democratic one, which would go a long way to turning the Senate blue, and winning as many local elections as possible. We need a repeat of 2018.

I'll say it: dump is dead meat. Killed by a bug.

More and more experts and other, less qualified but well known people are coming out saying he completely blew it with covid and that many thousands have died and will continue to die because of him. As this gets uglier, he is still out there insisting we put our children, teachers, bus drivers, and other school employees in harms way. The base may not care, but the margin voters do, and they are beginning to see who this man is in increasing numbers. Joe and Ruth have to stay healthy.

The numbers will tighten. Joe's gonna gaffe a few times between now and November.

They will tighten, and Joe will gaffe up. But dump is doubling down on the same stupidity that is losing him support in his own party and traditionally strong Red districts. And Covid is gonna get worse in a lot of places while the rest of the world is on the way back. His base is blind, but we don't care about them. He does, as he needs the adulation at a time when other people are refusing to give it. He's powerless to stop playing to those who praise him most, and his handlers can't overcome that.

I'm cautious by nature and am of the belief that we Dems never really came to grips with why all those Rs and former BO supporters went dump. Still, people don't like death, and it's affecting their parents, spouses, and kids. And if he puts their kids closer to the bulls eye, which it appears he is willing to do, he will pay.

Fingers still crossed, of course, and I won't change my socks.

They may tighten but not by much. Trump has alienated everyone but the cops and racists at this point. And he is doubling down on it. Unless Biden pulls a Louie C.K. whilst in Blackface no gaffe will cover up for the daily gaffes of the Trump Administration. Even his supporters interviewed by the NY Times are getting tired of him. (I really read that article...I was shocked! ;-) )

Trump will gain back Texas and Arizona (though it will be closer than it has any right to be) but until he finds a way to stumble into a coherent policy on COVID he is in trouble. And if he continues his quest to end ObamaCare...then he might not gain any of them back and he just kneecapped the Senate GOP. (they are in trouble anyways but just cant quit him cause of the fundraising)

A lot can happen between now and November...but if the other teams coach is going to constantly call deep passes with a QB who has zero accuracy and no arm strength it doesnt matter if they are only down 15 points at the half the game is over. This would be a Truman like come back and Truman did more in one month of his public service than Trump could do in 5 lifetimes so he had built up equity. Trump has a bunch of Cletus' and Jeb2020s who will move on to the next conspiracy as soon as Trump is out of there.

At this point the only way for the Nazis to win without flat out altering the ballot results are:

1. A major war

2. Baiting us into a response that alienates the average voter

The only way I can see the former happening is if they start it, so I would be very worried right now if I was Venezuela or Iran.

The only way I can see the latter coming off is if they incite truly massive violence as a response. A few fires in Minneapolis didn't do it; they need the city cores of New York and Los Angeles in flames.

They need a Reichstag fire.

Be less like Glen Mason in the 4th quarter and more like PJ Fleck.

I doubt “non-uniformed, non-badged officers pulling random people into unmarked vehicles and arresting them” is gonna play well with folks.

Gonna be interesting to see how the dumpers react to federal alphabet agents taking people away who are voicing their objection to government policy.

Yeah, I know: they are removing terrorists from our midst.

Dear Santa,

This message may be rejected because it is both 1) In the wrong thread and 2) before opening day. But I've always been told by wise people that it is important to be on time and even better to be early. So, here's my 2020 Christmas wish list:

1 Joe moves into the White House;

2. Ruth lives and graces the bench with her presence for many more years; and

3. The Senate.

You don't live here. Those gifts would keep on giving in ways you can only imagine.

This word requires further definition.

Edit: But what's going to happen is one of these protestors is going to fight back and someone is going to get killed. Who and how are the only details to be worked out.
“Non-bootlicking, non-Trump voters.”
