Yeah that backfired pretty bad...it was awesome to watch on Twitter. Between this and Mark Levins tweet with the Obama hydroxychloroquine it was not a good day on Twitter for the GOP.

Dump can't do it unless he talks nasty, so his Biff-buddies are gonna try.

Biff-buddies

This is new to me. Is it yours? Quite evocative.

Looking at the 538 aggregate, it looks like Trump has maxed out at -16 for net approval rating for the pandemic. It's already dropping back to around 14. Based on this people appeared more upset over his partial shutdown which maxed a little over -16. Nothing matches August 2017 to December 2017 though, where he hovered around -15 to -20. Did that really last four months?

I think Trump Fatigue Syndrome plays a part in it. In the first months of his presidency we had never seen the nation's chief executive act so consistently poorly in every single facet of the job. We are all used to it now. The latest outrage is just that, the latest outrage.

There hasn't been a single day of the trump presidency where this hasn't been the case, and so far the only remotely acceptable thing he has presided over as president was that very modest criminal justice reform bill that impacted sentencing. 1 thing in nearly 4 years that was a slight positive versus a daily litany of often treasonous activity.

Frankly I'm sometimes surprised that his net disapproval is as high as it is. Americans have a very short attention span. Hell, I haven't watched or listened to more than 15 seconds of trump speak but one time in the last 3 years. It was so tiresome, and always the same thing, by the time he had been in office for 90 days.

At this point I am just hopeful we show up to vote in November (and earlier, vote early if you can, that will help make the lines shorter for people who find it hard to do that). I know if enough people show up this fall we can see another election like we had in 2018. And since the Senate map has more opportunities to pick up seats, if that happens we take the Senate. We can also see similar improvements in state houses and other more local elections. Those will have a much more immediate effect on many issues that are urgently in need of attention, like reforming police departments.

Outdoors? During hurricane season??? And outdoors due to concerns over COVID-19? If they have concerns, you would think they would work to fix that issue instead of letting people run rampant around the state without masks. But that's all Chicken Little of me, I guess.

Being reported as a potential bipolar incident.
Yikes.

Yep. Evidently he admitted he was bipolar in 2018, refused to take meds because "they change me" (well, um, yeah), then in 2019 claimed he had been misdiagnosed and just needed sleep.

He's not a mentally healthy person. It's sad.
