Anyone familiar with the term "funeral potatoes?" Life-shortening "casserole" made of hash browns, cheese, sour cream, butter, cream of ______ soup, covered with crushed corn flakes.

We have those for Easter and Christmas. :D

Outside of the ham, the best part of the meal.

I totally call it green bean casserole. Born in Robbinsdale, raised in Coon Rapids. Green bean casserole. Everything else is a hotdish, though.

Wait, except the dish itself. That's a casserole dish.

Yeah green bean casserole is the only casserole I ever remember.

pm me your mailing address. There is nothing in this world I want more than getting it for you. It will be my monument long after I leave this plane.

That dish is real, and my wife and I received it as an unregistered wedding gift. I hazard to call it an illegal wedding gift, but that my turn political.

Tator tot? Seven layer salads are essentially one. Tuna bake casserole? Mac n cheese bake casserole?

Sunday potlucks at church were a gold mine. I haven't made/eaten one of any kind for 20 years at least though. Here's a fun watch.

Andrew Zimmern & Amy Klobuchar Hotdish Cook-Off

There's one of him visiting a putluck at a MN church but I can't find it for some reason.

California announces they’ll send every registered voter a mail-in ballot for the general in November.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled casserole discussion.

They were already doing that; or maybe my county. At least for the primary in March, and going forward, they would mail everyone a ballot, they had a number of polling places (though not the full amount) open for a couple weeks before the election, and they had the usual full complement of polling places open on Election Day.

Amazing what it's like when you actually WANT people to vote.

OR has done this for about 20 years. It works perfectly. Which is of course why Republicans oppose it.

These are the same POS from the 50's South. They just switched parties.
