Biden v Dump 1: If not now, when? If not us, who?

There are other seats to vote for besides president. So, you should definitely not sit out.

tbh, I just filled in the "D" bubble... as the most conservative person on here, I surprised even myself, a little... but my feeling is that every Republican on the ticket needs a share of Dump's punishment just for supporting him.

as the most conservative person on here

how conservative are you? Other than one or two exceptions, if Joe Biden joined USCHO and posted in the cafe he might be considered one of the most conservative people here. I can imagine the shit Kep would be giving DiamondJoe42 for being a centrist coward.

I voted for the Token Republican Senatorial candidate here in MA because I despise Ed Markey and will never vote for him. But Markey will win, likely with north of 70% of the vote, and this was merely a protest throw-away vote. I refuse to vote all one party, but beyond the big D vote on the top of the ticket and the one senatorial race, every other position was unopposed (and I left them blank).

I really hate one-party rule, so when we burn down the GOP I want to rebuild it (or something).

Well, I've been trying to reclaim the term to reflect a sense of responsibility, stability, decency... to me, "conservative" and "Republican" no longer have anything in common. So others would disagree that I'm conservative.

They interviewed Mick Mulvaney and he said if TX and FL were really going blue, both would be campaigning there. Instead they're spending time in the rust belt. PA, OH, MI, WI, and MN are the states to watch.

why would Joe to go TX? It's not going to decide the election. If he wins TX, it means he's already locked up the rust belt, Arizona, Florida, and Georgia. He needed to shore up the rust belt and not repeat a Hillary.

yes, conservative used to mean "averse to change". The GOP has redefined it.

The meaning of "Conservative"

1980 -- End taxes
1990 -- End abortion
2000 -- End liberalism
2010 -- End immigration
2020 -- End democracy

That was the point. If Texas truly was tipping blue, Joe, Kamala, or both, would have made trips to TX to lock it down.

TX ain't swinging blue.

After George W Bush, I said I would never vote for a Republican (Bush v Gore was my first presidential election, and I've only ever voted for Democrats for president, but I may have voted for Olympia Snowe once).

I broke that promise a couple weeks ago when I filled out my ballot -- I voted for the Republican for County Commissioner. In Maine we have a pretty limited county government. In our case the commissioner oversees the budgeting of the county Sheriff office, a small regional airport, registry of deeds, courthouse, etc. The democrat running is unfit for office and was unopposed during the primary. There was an attempt to recruit a write-in challenger, but it was too late to be a declared write-in so votes for her wouldn't have counted in the primary. She was going to run as a write-in democrat in the general, but had to drop out. The democrat is a left-of-Bernie socialist, likes to be an asshole on Facebook to anyone that isn't, and has basically said he is going to pursue a progressive agenda and while I may agree with some of it in theory, it basically has nothing to do with the actual duties of county commissioner. The republican running is an old school republican (not a QAnnon Trump Humper) that owns a hardware store in town and has served on our "non-partisan" town council (in a town that voted >70% for Hillary) so I figured he'd be harmless as the county commissioner.

My prediction: take the 2016 Map and change:
Joe takes PA, AZ, and MI.
Trump takes MN.

I'll let you all calculate that one.

I’ve woken up this morning and I’ve just got a bad feeling about this. The numbers tightening in Pennsylvania worries me and frankly I don’t trust this country.
