Biden v Dump 1: If not now, when? If not us, who?

It depends...they could have requested it back in the beginning when things looked very different than they do now. They could be voting today.

Plus...we don't know who they are voting for ;-)

Also true, but over half are from Wayne and Oakland. Wayne is obviously heavy Dem being Detroit, and Oakland is all suburbs, which are supposed to be good for Dems this year.

Handyman -- Is Tina Smith safe? (Notice I picked the incumbent Senator losses to be in MI and SC, not MN, but I wonder.)

I dunno there is no real polling to speak of outside the SurveyUSA crap which made no sense. (but still had her leading) She is a rather boring candidate which doesnt help her but we also arent very big on ticket splitting so if the population centers vote in theory she should be fine. Plus no one likes Jason Lewis so it would seem odd if he won when he couldnt even hold a Republican district after a term.

Long story short...I got no clue. If I had to bet it would be on her but I would not put important money on it. Like I said this this could be the year. If she does win though the MNGOP have no one to blame but themselves.

Well then cross your fingers its all you can do at this point. If Michigan screws this up again though its time to nuke it from orbit ;-)

Jason Lewis is psychotic.

Well yeah. In his TV commercial running in the Fargo Moorhead market, as best I can estimate from the TV images and her being off-camera at the time, he racks his firearm and swings the muzzle across his wife. You point down range and then rack! Duh. And his stance sucks and he fires way too fast.

There are other reasons?

It doesn’t need to be polling errors this time around, though. If enough mail-in ballots aren’t returned, there’s plenty of votes that would fall in line with polling that won’t be counted.

Michigan still has around 400k outstanding ballots going into today. All of those either need to be delivered by mail or dropped off to the city clerk by 8pm.

I suspect a lot of the remaining outstanding ballots are people who decided to vote in-person today rather than risk the courts throwing their ballot out. I dropped my ballot at the city clerk's office a month ago and got email notification the next day that it had been accepted, but my girlfriend changed her mind a few weeks ago and is going in-person this afternoon.

Also, my mom mailed hers in and got confirmation it was accepted, but my dad is going in-person today.

Im not sure what keywords made it happen, but I kind of like how GORGEOUS **** LADIES BIKINIS keep popping up all over this page showing HOT WOMEN IN SWIMWEAR, maybe someone accidentally triggered google to recognize that BEAUTIFUL MODELS are appreciated here and so they are showing ads of WOMEN IN LINGERIE and whatnot

I'm still amazed that Trump has any shot in PA.

You've obviously never been to rural western/central PA, it's basically Greater West Virginia. Hell, even Pittsburgh and Philly are worlds apart, culturally. There's a reason PA still has a Republican senator and sometimes elects Republican governors.

That's what the TV talking heads are going to have to try to reconcile: Are those requested and not returned ballots yet coming, not coming, or change and vote in person. That's going to really mess with the projections.

No it won't. Any projection based on requested ballots rather than returned ballots would be idiotic.

Every election there is a significant fraction of requested absentee ballots that are never returned. It only matters more this year because of the increased use of early/absentee votes.

Biden brags that he's the third Senator from PA (and for a long time he was!).

PA should be the easy one for Biden and the battle should be in OH. I don't understand what changed there.

Bless your heart.

Other than a few good years in the 1700s and a couple decades making steel in the 1900s, it's basically been a Kentucky outpost for the rest of its existence. And it has the worst roads of any eastern state.
